I have been collecting for about 14 years now. Some of the systems I have are the ones I have had since my youth. I still have my original Atari 2600, Intellivision II and Sega Genesis.
My main focus is collecting Xbox 360 games but I am also trying to finish my Sega Dreamcast and get all the pre-NES stuff I sold years ago back. I am probably the biggest complete game snob on the site.
I am 39 years old and live in Glendale Arizona with my wife and our 10 pets. The animals are five dogs (Loki, Bartleby Baxter, Fury and Wyatt), cat (Jere) and four birds (Tika, Io, Poco and Astrid).
What Got Myself into Collecting?
What got me into collecting....hmm.....Well I have always collected stuff. I collected comics, sports cards, non-sports cards, figures and now video games.
I would say the Genesis got me to collect games. I had about 50 or so games and was wondering how many in the library. I thought I had a lot of Genesis games until I found out there is 706 games in the library. So I said what the heck I will get them all and I did and in the process picked up hundreds of other games.
