Next to Dorothy in Kansas

I am 28 years old and have been a gamer my whole life. I've been married for six years and have a six year old son. We live in a house that's entirely too small to hold all of my games.

I have been a gamer for my entire life. My parents had an Intellivision (that was tragically killed by water from a broken fish tank) that I remember playing. I grew up on the NES and SNES (because that's what my parents bought us), later buying a PlayStation and Nintendo 64 used. I was given a GameCube for my high school graduation and love it!

It was around the fall of 2002 (when I was going in to my freshman year at Kansas State) when I started getting back into older games again. I was constantly on the GameFAQs forums reliving my favorites with others along with playing them on my PC via emulation. I was seeing stories of just how easy it was to come up with a Nintendo just by asking friends and relatives what they had in their attics. It started with an NES, moved on to SNES and Genesis, and then it exploded. I bought all kinds of stuff and have only slowed down at this point because, well, life happens. I now sit with an unknown collection size (as of September 22, 2010) because I am in the process of putting stuff in storage. I decided that when I did that, I was going to start from scratch so I know exactly what I have. We'll see when it's done.
