Murders Only In Buildings - Season 3!

Well, that's oddly specific.

Is it a documentary series? If so, I just might check it out.

The series on Hulu.  If you have Hulu, I definitely recommend it.  Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez are great together.

So it's not a documentary series? Never mind, then.

I started a rewatch of the series Alias, which is among my favorites. I still have all 5 seasons on DVD.

I started a rewatch of the series Alias, which is among my favorites. I still have all 5 seasons on DVD.

Is it a reboot of the early-70s TV western series Alias Smith and Jones?

As for myself: I'm about to dive into the second half of Sonic Prime's second season.

Started watching Alias again because it's an old favorite. Nearly done with Season 1.

Total Recall - (1990) - B-
--> Cheesy but fun.

Elvis - (2022) - B
--> Directed by Baz Luhrmann, chaotic style and a good performance by Austin Butler.

Emma - (2020) - B+
--> I prefer some of the other adaptations (1996 movie, 1998 movie and the 2009 miniseries), or maybe I need to watch this one multiple times before passing judgement.

The Mule - (2018) - B-
--> Predictable "old man Eastwood" fare. Still enjoyable.

Crazy Rich Asians - (2018) - A-
--> A refreshing topic (for me).

A Private War - (2018) - B
--> Biopic war drama about war journalist Marie Colvin.

The Shawshank Redemption - (1994) - A+
--> Probably oneof the best ending / best story arc movies ever.

The Other Side of Hope - (2017) - B+
--> Finnish comedy-drama. Well-acted and absurd story.

Roxanne - (1987) - B
--> Textbook example of the type of feelgood American comedy movie that really capture the 80ies / 90ies era of optimism and comfort.

City Slickers - (1991) - B
--> See Roxanne.

Aladdin - (2019) - C
--> Not to the level of the 1992 animated movie.

Legend -  (2015) - B
--> Not entirely convinced with the pacing of the movie, but Tom Hardy is a terrific actor.

The Bounty -  (1984) - B+
--> Great performances by Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier -  (2014) - B
--> Solid MCU movie. Very interesting to watch now, in what I consider the post-Marvel era. Covid really feels like a end of many things, including the MCU hype.

Beast -  (2017) - A-
--> Truly strong performances in this gripping thriller.

Peter Rabbit -  (2018) - C
--> Why not, another animated movie. Some fun scenes.

A Fish Called Wanda -  (1988) - B+
--> Similarly to Roxanne and City Slickers, but this time a British movie.

12 Monkeys -  (1995) - B-
--> A crazy science fiction / post apocalyptic movie. The plot is somewhat confusing.

Jackie -  (2016) - B+
--> Great performance by Natalie Portman.

V for Vendetta -  (2006) - A-
--> The fact that people are still discussing this movie nearly 20 years later speaks volumes. Also very predictive of the future.

The Handmaiden -  (2016) - A++
--> Visually incredible, thoughtprovoking. Together with Parasite (2019) two of the most striking movies I have seen in the past 5 years, both Korean, quite extraordinary.

Kick-Ass 2 -  (2013) - D-
--> Meh.

The Firm -  (1993) - B-
--> Starts out just like Roxanne, City Slickers or any other feelgood 80ies/90ies comedy, then takes an interesting turn.

Hellboy -  (2004) - C+
--> Part of the superhero movies collective before the MCU.

Watched the Ratchet & Clank movie for the second time ever. It was just as disappointingly unremarkable this time around as it was the first. Just play the 2016 game for the PS4 instead; it's basically the movie in video game form... but is actually fun to experience.

Watched all the Child's Play movies and all the movies after 3 suck.  Don't bother with them.  On to the series, which I heard is good.
