Ridiculous. I would hope most people would have the good sense to never spend that kind of money on a cart, just because it's in a plastic box, but there's probably some fool out there chomping at the bit to own it.

And now Super Mario 64 just set the record with $1.5 million I believe.

Sheer lunacy if you ask me, but at the same time this is where the VG collector's market was going to be, just years (maybe even decades) before anyone thought it could.  So really, that should be the only thing that surprises people.  Also makes me glad I walked away from collecting when I did.

Which is the biggest joke of all. Honestly this whole thing is fishy and weird. How one of the most common games on the N64 sells for that much is just absurd. Can’t wait for the inevitable price jumps because everyone will think they struck gold…

I was driving down the road after work and caught a strong whiff of that old nostalgic scent of freshly mown weeds and grass mixed with leaky lawnmowers and WHAM it was suddenly 1987 and I was ten at the local 7-11, dropping a quarter into Ghost 'n Goblins for the first time and wondering why this game didn't look like the Pole Position and Defender games at the grocery store.  I tell you, nostalgia doesn't get any stronger for me than that.
