I didn't even see the earlier dates, but that just shows this topic can stand the test of time, although I am probably thinking a few PS2 games have become more rare than they were ten years ago.

Nearly 10 year old thread makes me sad.

I like how someone posts something negative sounding and you automatically assumed it was Tynstar. Some things never change :p

To be fair, that was 10 years ago Crabby.

That's what I mean. Izret still complains about Tynstar being "crabby" after all this time Wink

FWIW, for PAL, there were quite a few banned and recalled games for PS1 and PS2 that had a few copies slip through.

Tintin - Destination Adventure for UK comes to mind for PS1 (banned in UK for racist portrayals, but supposedly a few were sold at Tintin stores), and there was another UK title for PS2 that I can't think of that only had something like 12 copies get sold from one store in the UK that broke street date.

As far as priciest goes, I guess that would be .hack Quarantine and/or Rule of Rose. I, fortunately, was able to purchase both for significantly cheaper than the going rate....and Rule of Rose seems to continuously climb in price.

As for rarity, hell, I don't know. My guess is that we won't really know the truly rare games (if there are any) for several years...

10 years ago Tyn and Capn were a dynamic duo on here.
I had more trouble remembering who was who back then. I also confused Hydrobond and "The Black Perl"

But I was amused too lol

Hey now,

Its not like we all have the same speech patterns or anything after all this time spent together?

Right guys?

Anyway, back to the Skylander-calculator orgy!

You could just try asking Ken (Mezmoron), as he has a complete set of NTSC/U PS2 he completed last year.

Which is absolutely incredible, given the huge assortment of games that were released for the platform. 2-2.5 times that of the NES, Genesis or SNES.

There are others with "Complete" collections, including a well-known SEALED collection.

That's insane! I've been collecting PS2 now for about 8 years, but until recently, it's been very slow, and mostly just games I had specific intentions to play. Now that I'm finding CIB copies for between $2 & $3.50, I'm buying them left and right (as I find and can afford to), sans sports titles. I should probably get some of those as well.
