Animal Crossing: New Horizons - January 12, 2025 (reached 3-star island and credits). Second time I "beat" this game, and I have gained even more of an appreciation for it on my second go-round.
ANTONBLAST - January 21, 2024 (Overall, I highly recommend it, but it has a heavy amount of profane language during the cutscenes, so be wary before going in.)

Jan 26 - Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (Switch) : Playing it for the first time since it came out on DS and I think it's still my favorite portable version of Castlevania. Nice story/characters, challenging and very pleasant to explore. Also, the village that serves as a hub is a nice addition. However. the lack of tips/information make some missions, especially a very important one, a bit confusing to figure out. 9/10

Jan 29 - Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (Switch) : Another gem from the past that also stood the test of time. Levels are beautiful, creative and a fair challenge to beat the main story, but diabolical to get all KONG and Jigsaw pieces. I still find that the villains have very poor character design and lack personality. 8/10

Feb 06 - Ninja Gaiden II Black (PS5): First time playing a Ninja Gaiden game and it was a nice surprise. I really like it. Despite the repetitive nature of a hack n' slash, it doesn't feel boring because of how varied (and beautiful) the stages are and also it mixes some platform and exploration elements too keep things away from repetition. However, I find the camera/controls a bit unpolished and the story is weak. 8/10

Feb 07 - Haunted Castle Revisited (Switch): A much more pleasant and challenge friendly way to play Haunted Castle, but still not a memorable experience. Feels like something entirely made of a set of old and tired ideas from classic Castlevanias, but it's worth a play, especially because it last less than an hour. 6/10

Feb 13 - Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (PS4): This was the only Uncharted game that I did not play before and thankfully I did now, because it's great.  I like the two female protagonists and everything else feels as polished, beautiful and enjoyable as the previous titles. The only thing that misses the mark a bit, is the open world chapter. Not interesting at all to justify spending many hours of exploration on it. 9/10

Feb 21 - Devil May Cry 5 (PS4): Expected much more! Repetitive visuals, boring level design and very cringe writing. Although not very memorable, there are some cool gimmicks and it was entertaining enough to keep going for about 9 hours. 6/10

Feb 25 - Wario Land 4 (Switch online): An interesting and simple platform game that mix puzzle and exploration elements. It tries to be its own thing, not a Super Mario Bros. clone. I enjoyed it, but it somewhat lacks that Nintendo magic. Thankfully it ends around 4-5 hours before it gets tiring. 7/10

Mar 02 - New Pokémon Snap (Switch): I enjoyed the N64 original and this one as well. As photographer myself, I was very entertained going after the best shot possible and trying to find hiding Pokémons. However, I found it a bit long for its repetitive structure. 8/10
