Really enjoyed the show, guys! Looking forward to more debates like this!
I voted for Kelsey because I came in agreeing with his position and my mind was not changed by Bil's arguments. It seemed like on Bil's side he was bringing up examples that showed that the status quo is already conforming to the state he was arguing for.
I am grateful that you both set aside accessibility as completely different issue from difficulty at the start of the discussion, because I see difficulty and accessibility get conflated with each other A LOT.
For me the linchpin of Kelsy's argument was something he stated a few times: "Not every game is for every person." Frankly, this can be a hard pill to swallow but it is extremely important if you like variety and choice in games. Rather than wishing Bloodborne had an easy mode because I tend to enjoy easy games, I'm grateful that those who take pride in joining the 14% can do so, while I can make the choice to avoid the franchise entirely. There are many easy games out there, and in fact I think the argument can be made that games have trended easier over the past decade or so (which is part of why Souls-Bournes and their ilk are so special to the thrill-seekers out there).
You both did a great job, and this was actually one of your best episodes ever. Looking forward to more of this type of content.

Thanks so much for the feedback Shawn! Bil and I were both pretty nervous about this one (Chris was unfazed!). We would like to do more shows like this, but they are much more work than a normal show so we need to space them out a bit. Really appreciate the thoughtful comment.

I tend to agree with your position, Kelsey, but I felt like Bil had the stronger overall arguments, so I voted that way. It was a really good discussion, though, with great points made for either position, and I think more episodes like this would be awesome.

Thanks for the feedback! I look forward to trying again later. Any particular arguments I had you felt fell flat or things you think I would have addressed?

There's now topic for the current podcast so I guess I'll address it here: What about the system no one is talking about? The Intellivison Amico?! This is actually the system I'm fired up about.

I was really into the original concept, bit as it became a digital only platform I lost all interest. Far more excited to the Polymega and Analogue Pocket.

That's my reason why I haven't pre-ordered one yet, just one tiny blurb on physical releases saying they will cost more then $10 and be like collector editions. Nothing on the look of the physical media, which games, box art, nothing. August 4th is an Amico conference. They need to show some physical details or I'm out. I will NOT get a mostly digital or digital only system.
