I’m still trying as well. I’m hoping I can get through a couple games before it gets super busy at work with year end.

Last month we suspended all claims.  You can now simply pick a title and attempt to beat it I believe Brycer345. Good luck with Mach Rider!!

That's correct. At this point in the year just play what you want, when you want.

Sorry I haven't been able to crank anything out for a while. 2nd half of November was extremely busy for me, so I really didn't have time for much of anything game-wise. Got Tecmo NBA back out and should have it finished soon.

Sorry for the super slow response guys. Had a ton of time in a car over the last week travelling around for my grandmother's funeral. Finally back home!

Tecmo NBA Basketball is done. Such a letdown of an ending. I was expecting something similar to Tecmo Super Bowl, which has an epic ending. Instead, there is a static shot congratulating your team, then credits with a single basketball deflecting about the screen. The background music for the credits is the same as what is used for playing the games.

Game does a lot right as far as basketball action, and Michael Jordan is way overpowered (though that's not much different from real life). But considering the long season and playoffs, and Tecmo's lineage at the time, it was very anti-climatic.

Star Trek 25th Anniversary done. Quick game when you can remember the puzzles from 30 years ago. I forgot it cuts back to the start screen after the closing dialogue...thankfully I wrote my passwords down.

Spy Hunter done? I went through all the seasons and one run through the boat stage. I missed a lot of nuances in this game as a kid. I didn't realize you could carry more than one special weapon and cycle through them. I also never made it to winter back then. I was surprised that your car handles differently. I also hit the spinning car glitch where you're still driving down the road but showing the animation and playing the sound of when you're car gets shot or hits a tire slasher. Definitely a lot more fun now than I remembered.

Nice! Definitely not an easy game, but a classic, for sure.

Guess we failed.

However I played loads I hadn’t played before. Some I don’t think I would have got to in years without this challenge. And some of those games were great (and some not so  laugh ).

Thanks to crabby for running the challenge

We didn't reach our goal, but by no means a failure. Blog post up tomorrow with more details, but in short I'm super proud of you guys and had a great time playing NES and getting to know you all a bit better.
