Still, that's a pretty good score for just jumping into Hard! And yes, Maniac certainly lives up to its name. If I end up getting a clear on Hard, a Maniac clear might be something I have to shoot for as a long-term goal.

While I enjoy this game a lot, I haven't been able to make great progress, always dying on the stage 6 boss. Since it's nearing the end of the month, I tried something just for kicks. Maniac mode with 99 lives. It was extremely intense, extremely fun, and... I still didn't make it to the end. Died on stage 8. (Also have to say the music on Stage 8 is awesome)
