One question though. Is there a generally accepted way to value games if we have something in our own collections that fits the bill and we're willing to gift? I usually check pricecharting.com, but I'm not sure if there's a better way.

Price charting, recent completed online sale prices, retail stores, as long as you are in the ballpark you are good.  When in doubt, send more stuff.

On it like white on rice. IF I wanted to vouch for someone, who would I bug? Also, since it is my wife, is there a way to make sure I don't get paired with her? I've gotta buy her enough stuff xD

PM me with the username of who you want to vouch for.  Just add a note in the SUBJECT LINE of your email who you dont want to get paired with.
