Wow... you'd think that with so many IPs Disney could have kept their TTL going for several years.

I think it was the combination of the market all ready being controlled and Disney trying to reinvent the wheel.

You missed the other big news there, as well:
No more 1st party Disney games, and Avalanche Software (not Avalanche Studios, that does Just Cause) has been shut down as a result.

This is sad news, but I'm still going to buy Infinity 2.0 and 3.0.

I hope all who lost their jobs find work soon.

Internally, they were offered other positions at studios, including relocation assistance, or were given a 2 months severance package with employment assistance. Spoke to someone involved.

Wow, this sucks.  I hadn't even jumped on the Infinity train yet, and was going to finally do so with 3.0 because Star Wars.  The product will still be out there for a while, so I suspect I can still pick it up reasonably, but I was hoping for more Star Wars goodness.   Cry

Good or bad... I never went anywhere near it. Mainly because of the art direction. Had the characters been really detailed like the amiibos I would have been all over it. Because regardless of how the game turned out, I would still end up with really cool figures I could collect. Kinda surprised by this news though.

Yesssss... all is going according to plan. This is a far gentler fate than the filthy usurpers deserve... but I'll take it none the less. Now to focus on those depraved Lego Dimensions heretics...

I loves me Lego and Lego dimensions. Looking forward to getting a Goonies Sloth Lego figure, when the next wave comes out.

Glad I'm not into Lego mini figures cause I'd sure as heck be buying Dimensions packs.

So I just got Infinity and 2.0 for Wii U, and bought a base recently - anyone have a bunch of DI stuff lying around they don't want?  slick
