Just making a post with the first score I got using a Genesis emulator on PC. Getting an actual cart tomorrow, so I can put in a real score for the BR. Onto Metal Slug!

I'm so hyped to play Metal Slug. It's such a gorgeous game.

You're setting a good first score, FatherJack. One thing I love about these year end competitions is seeing how good many people are at the games we play. Some of them aren't that easy and you guys are pulling all these high scores like it's nothing.

I guess I dropped the ball with RT2.  I'll have to improve my score during the battle royale.  In the meantime, here's my first score for MS3:

744194.  The SNK initials went in by default.  Word of warning for those of us not using an emulator, the high score screen only stays up for a couple of seconds, so be quick with taking those pics.  If you wait a bit on the main menu screen, it will eventually cycle back to the high score screen.

Holy buckets, this game is hard! For some stupid reason, my Xbox won't boot up the game, it just has a garbled screen, so I had to resort to NeoRageX for the time being.

Once you start to learn enemy patterns and get into a rhythm, the game becomes a bit easier, though it's still pretty brutal. Here's my highest so far, that I haven't been able to top:
