You're making crazy progress on your NES Collection lately. 600 is a huge milestone and you're closing in on it fast!
Yes I am.  haha.

I was stuck at around 450ish for a long time until Bear78 introduced me to the video game Facebook groups.  I joined the local group and several others and man has it made a huge difference in my life.

I met a guy in my home town through the local group that has a full loose NES collection and he has helped me with some great advice and tools to grow my collection.

Also found out about the MOGAMECON through the local group and that made a huge difference as well.  Mostly with my CIB/boxed collection which stands at a out 260ish right now.

600 seemed impossible just 1 year ago but now my focus is stronger than ever and I hope to get there by the time MOGAMECON comes around next year.  If not sooner.  Only have about 10 or so $5 games left to find and then the real fun starts.  LOL

Finds from some labor day sales over the weekend. The yellow Famicom game is a bootleg / hack called The Dragon which uses Mortal Kombat sprites. The other 2 are King Kong 2 and Jackie Chan. Drakenguard was a upgrade for my copy and it ended up having a extra disc inside so now I got 3 copies of it lol. All the Sega games are CIB and Starflight has the map too. Found some uncommon portable games for good prices too including Fastest Lap.

Something cool from Brazil came in the mail today! This is a re-release of the fabled 32x version of Surgical Strike that was only released in Brazil by Tec Toys! I'm still technically one game down from finishing my 32x set but I figured I'd add this one too :p Here is some more info about the history and this release from John Hancock who helped with this re-release:

Great score, cverz2!  Metalstorm and Rockin' Kats are great games, two of my favorites, in fact.

Great scores, cverz2! Metalstorm is fantastic. I remember playing that as a kid at a friend's house, and it's a blast.

Side question: I've seen a number of GBC and GBA games in those clamshell cases. Were there any legitimate releases that came out that way, such as reprints, or in other regions, or are those all aftermarket?

@MetalFRO: Aftermarket, from customgamecases.com. My copy of Mega Man Zero 4 that I ordered from GameStop came in one, weirdly enough.

Got these in a cash/trade on Facebook:

This puts me at 617 NES games and only 40 away to completing the SMS set.

My wife surprised me with a copy of Spider-Man!! Super pumped about it. We are renovating our basement so I'm gonna try and hold off on playing until we are done so that I can break in the new basement with this one.

@Crabmaster2000: Nice!  Shocked at that Canada tax.
