Got these from Goodwill for $2 a piece:

I don't know how I missed but they also had Shadow of the Collossus. As I found the God of War's a guy next to me started freaking out that he found the game. I had already gone through that section and had missed it. I also almost had Alf for the SMS for $54 from recordhead but when I had them open the shrinkwrap that they put on the game, I saw the manual was photocopied. Not paying $54 for a photocopied manual.
Definitely had that happen to me. Also been on the other side of it.
Also, that place shrinkwraps the games?! It sounds like they are up front about at least. I hope people are not being fooled they are buying NIB.

Yup, they shrinkwrap them. I think they may do that so they put the price on it instead of the game. Can't think of any other reason. I'm glad I asked to open it up because of that copied manual.

Been slacking on documenting, sharing, and organizing my finds for the last few months...it has been a pretty busy time, and I have been making sure my free time was spent playing games instead of playing on social media and on my computer. That being said, I have a few photos to share for a quick update so I can start getting these on my shelves and off the floor.
First off, thrift store notables:

The XBOne games were $5.99 each from a rare trip to Goodwill a few months back, and Spyro and Zelda were $3.99 each from a trip to my most local ARC thrift store two days ago. I had no idea the Spyro title was so rare...but apparently...it is one of the rarest titles on the 360 so far. Additionally, I will be reselling the LoZ game for a sizable profit online since I already owned it. It has been going for around $40 complete over the last month, so I stand to make a great profit ratio off of it.
Secondly, a surprise buy from GameStop:
Yesterday, May 4th...they were apparently running a sale for Star Wars day for buy 3 get the 4th free. (May the 4th be with you)

For those of you who also rely a lot on reselling stuff to make money to support your collections, this picture should speak directly to you.
For those of you that aren't hearing what the picture is saying: Cubic Ninja is the game that was chosen by developers to support their emulator "Ninjhax". It used to be a pretty sub-par $2.99 game for a long time, but once they announced that Cubic Ninja was the game you needed to use the Ninjhax homebrew mod on the 3DS, the online price skyrocketed, GameStop sold out, and people started selling them in droves. I wasn't lucky to get in on the first run, but even now, after GS raised the price to $35, it is worth it to resell. I have sold one copy that I got for $24 at the flea market on eBay for $80, and even though the current average shows it has dropped to around $70 online, I still stand to make $140 on the two of them, which would be a $30 profit on top of getting Kingdom Hearts and Yo-Kai Watch for free. (Which is an added bonus because my son has dived head-first into Yo-Kai. He has already binged the whole first season over a weekend and found the Manga at our local library to read...he wanted this game, but I wasn't going to pay so much for it...now I don't have to worry about that.)
Seriously though...go to Gamestop's website and search to see if Cubic Ninja is in stock around you, it should be at least an easy $25 profit for you even if you have little experience selling online. Hell, some of you live in densely populated areas and might even have luck reselling on craigslist or on social media for a quick $15-$20 profit.
Which brings me to my next score off of something new to me...an app called "LetGo":
My wife has been using the app to try to find us some new furniture and kids clothing, and usually when she comes across games, it is junk or overpriced stuff...but about a week ago, one person selling clearly did not know what they had.

The ad was originally $25 for all of the games (They are complete...even Lunar 2, which is what I was interested in, as I know its value when complete). I arranged to meet the seller and once I arrived, he offered to throw in the PS2 for an extra $20. I wasn't going to be rude and look up the price while I was standing in front of him, but I figured it was worth at least $20, if not more, so I took it. $45 total for everything pictured above. I have no idea what all I am reselling yet, but Lunar 2 alone should fetch me around $60, so I know I have already made a profit on the deal.
Next up, a trip to TradeSmart I made on March 11th:
They are remodeling the store, and were in dire need of space. Pretty much everything in the store was on sale for at least 10% off, but I didn't have interest in any pop culture collectables, clothes, CDs, movies, or books...My mission involved their video games. It was 75% off of all games that met two requirements, they were priced $29.99 or less, and had been on the shelves for at least 1 year. I was expecting to have trouble determining which titles were included...but they made it very easy for customers to see which titles were a part of the clearance. So I went a little nuts.

$75 was the total at the end of the trip to TradeSmart. (Not shown was Metal Gear Solid 3D, since I shamefully cannot seem to find it in this mess I have growing, but it was the most expensive title I bought at $4.75. Also notable is Mario Kart Wii, which was not a part of the sale, but was incorrectly tagged as a "Generic Wii Title" at $4.99, which even without being 75% off will be another quick flip once I get around to selling it.) Most of them were "Generic 360 Titles" and ended up at $1.25, but some notable prices were Dead Rising 3 at $4.25, Batman: Arkham Origins, Adventure Time: Secret of the Nameless Kingdom, and Shadow of Mordor at $3.75 each, and Alan Wake and two copies of Bully for $2.75 each (Should be able to resell the Bullys for $15 each for a decent profit).
Finally, I got my Xbox One in the mail today...and I am pretty darn happy with my purchase. It came 4 days sooner than promised, and the bonuses inside were also better than expected. I know it always discloses that offers are subject to change, and items pictured may have different colors or be slightly different than shown, and all of that...but you never expect it to be better than advertised.

$279 on eBay for an XBOne with Kinect refurbed directly from Microsoft and not a third party with 5 games was already a great deal...especially since the Kinect bundle isn't being sold anymore (not that I really wanted it after the difficulties I had with the 360 Kinect, but it was a part of the bundle, so I will take it) but to get a better deal than advertised makes me even happier.
Forza Motorsport 5 - Advertised as a digital download card, ended up with a sealed limited edition copy.
Ryse: Son of Rome - Advertised as a "Game disc" (Which I interpreted as a used, disc-only copy), ended up with a sealed legendary edition copy.
Kinect Sports Rivals - Advertised generically, figured it would be used since Ryse was advertised as such, but ended up with a sealed, new game.
Sunset Overdrive - Also advertised generically, but also ended up with a sealed, new game.
Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition - Advertised as such, but not advertised as "new", it was also brand-new and sealed.
Combining these great titles with the few I had already bought and the 60+ I already have waiting for download from 2.5 years of Games with Gold...(Thanks again, Izret, for the reminders on here...I would have missed at least 5-6 of the rewards if you hadn't posted on the forums)...I would say I am pretty well set to dive into this next generation of gaming. (and yes...I know I own and play my Wii U often enough...but let's be real, it might as well just been considered the end of the 7th generation instead of the start of the 8th...that being said...the NX specs and rumored innovations actually make it look worthy of starting the 9th generation)

Nice grab on Lunar 2, Boshamp! You're right on target with the approximate value of the game, assuming the contents are in good shape. Great game, too.
I forgot to post the last few things I got. Firstly, this arrived in the mail:

And here's a look inside:

The whole set is gorgeous, and sounds amazing. I'm glad I stuck it out and kept trying to get the order in when I did. It looks spiffy on my turntable as well:

Picked up a few games a couple weekends ago at a game shop:

And was able to hit my usual pawn shop with good results as well! All CIB except G-Police is missing the manual:

And I had 5 minutes to stop at GameStop yesterday when out running errands, and grabbed these goodies:

I wasn't planning on hunting today, but my wife decided she'd had enough of housework throughout the week, and had no interest in working out in the yard. Translation: let's go to the "city" and go goof off! For me, that means my usual routine of trolling Goodwill, the pawn shops, and the local game store for deals. First up, between 2 Goodwill locations, I found a few nice things:

Second, pawn shop #1 yielded some Xbox and 360 games:

Between the local game store and the Hastings Entertainment, I picked up a little of everything, including scratching two more shmups of my list!

And quite unexpectedly, I scored big time at pawn shop #2 with PSP stuff! Usually they have plenty of PS2 and Xbox stuff for me, but this time, it was all PSP stuff, and because I'm such a good regular customer, I basically got it half off. Gotta love small businesses rewarding customer loyalty

And this is not gaming related, but I've been looking for this movie on DVD for the longest time, and Hastings happened to have a copy, so I snapped it up immediately! Glad to finally have this one

The contents mirrored my existing copy of Lunar 2...still in their packaging and completely unenjoyed. Ha ha
I appreciate the love, guys.

Yeah the SF2 box set is nice

Since the SF2 music is from the original hardware, some might notice the CPS-2 music sounds slightly different.
Audio emulation is usually not 100% correct on older titles, so the usual rips out there are not perfect.
This release sounds exactly the way its composers intended, even compared to the older SF2 Redbook tracks on PlayStation.
A second pressing seems to be in the works so anyone interested can sign up here:

Picked up a bunch of Bally Astrocade controllers. I picked up two more of these a few days before, so these are extras. Will be selling or trading em off.

I received in some cases to start organizing and keep the ULTRA rare carts safe:

I'll have a review of the cases and more pics forthcoming.
