Sorry to hear about this, Shaggy. I can sympathize a bit, since my wife isn't even 40 yet, and has developed Type 2 diabetes, and has an auto-immune deficiency that requires her to have IV infusion treatments every 4 weeks, likely for the rest of her life. It's expensive to maintain those conditions and keep on top of them, and it definitely hampers her ability to live her life to the fullest the way she (and I) would like her to.
...my wife's heading in the same direction, unfortunately.

In my wife's case, the diabetes, and some measure of the auto-immune is hereditary, so it's just the genetic inheritance that gives her the short end of the stick. Type 2 is reversible, in some cases, so I'm hopeful that she can overcome that. Still, it is what it is for now.
Today's finds, starting with my meager pawn & thrift stuff:

The PSP game is Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron. I already own a CIB copy, so this one's going to my nephew for his birthday tomorrow, along with my extra copy of Daxter
Been eyeing this Bayonetta 2 guide/art book for weeks at a Hastings Entertainment store, finally pulled the trigger.

Game store 1 pickups. Not sure how I've never grabbed Bump 'n' Jump before...

Game store 2 grabs. My quest for all the PSP games continues:

Got Garfield complete, including the comic book! A Twitter acquaintance tells me it's actually a really good game, so I will have to test that theory.

Most of my wife's problems are hereditary as hell. Just have to play the hand you're dealt.
Went put to Goodwill today. They don't even stock games in the cabinet any more. I've only seen PS2 sports games every time I've gone now. Found a Call of Duty: Black Ops guide and some decent books though, and another Where's Waldo puzzle.
My wife also picked up a Wind Waker HD puzzle for my birthday on Amazon deals for $10. Can't wait to do that one.

My buddy Kris opened a new store on Saturday. I stopped by to support him and picked up a few nice big boxes and a great RPG for the XBOX.

Is it really that great? A RPG? I might have to seek this out.

Yes, and its easy to find and cheap. It's a turn based jam that feels a little like Final Fantasy x/Lost odyssey lite.

I just picked up the PS2 version a couple weekends ago. I thought maybe it was an action game like the other LOTR PS2/Xbox releases. Interesting.

Hey, video games!

This is the random stuff I picked up from Amazon. All of it was $1.50 or less.

I got this stuff from Meijer on clearance.

This is stuff I got from random game stores. I remember really liking Werewolf when I was a kid, but I played it over the next few days and while it was kind of fun, it feels ridiculously cheap. It's one of those "You better memorize everything that could possibly happen" games.

And finally the detritus that I found from thrifts. I really can't wait for spring. This dead period after Christmas is always terrible.

Some nice pickups, Sauza. Not sure who thought that UltraRacer controller was a great idea. It looks like a multi-button version of the old Atari VCS/2600 paddles, but like a hybrid between that and an IntelliVision controller. The stuff of nightmares

True, but I love terrible controllers like this. The more awkward the design, the more I love it.

I celebrated Skylanders day at Gamestop and managed to grab a lot for $1.37:

I also upgraded my Sega Genesis (Sega CD) to RGB and most games look amazing.
