I should be back through that town this weekend sometime, so assuming they still have it, I'll snag it for you.  Anything else in particular you want me to look for, in case they have it?

Got this yesterday. I found one with a missing disc back in August last year. Now I have one with a disc too!
Maybe I'll eventually find a disc only... Tongue

I just spent $3k on a dang hearing aid so I'm trying not to spend.  If you get there and are able to shoot me pics of their NES games do that.  Thanks.

Hey now,

shaggy reminding us that we're all getting too old for this shit.

Registering for the Murtaugh list, eh?

ANYway, I've found a smattering of goodies over the last few days:

- Nintendo Power & BradyGames Final Fantasy IV guides, $2.99 each

- Sealed Picross DS, $9.95

- CIB Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, $9.95

- Japanese Final Fantasy X case, $0.50: Some of you might recall my scoring a Japanese Wild Arms 3 case with Final Fantasy X disc last week, as shown here to the left:

A week later I found the FFX case in the same shop. Playing a hunch, I had the cashier pop it from its security case to see what was inside...

Hey All meant to post this the other day but forgot - a couple pre-orders came in and tomorrow picking up a couple more pre-orders.  Things are going to start slowing down a bit for me around here.  I will post some more this weekend of stuff my brother picked up Sunday at the Thrift store, after I pick up my pre-orders.  Little Mac was something I grabbed from Best Buy.

But here it all is -

shaggy reminding us that we're all getting too old for this shit.

Sadly, this didn't happen because I'm old.  I woke up one morning having trouble hearing out of my left ear.  I went to my doctor, he said I can send you to the ENT but they will just say take mucinex for 4-6 weeks because usually it's mucus causing the hearing loss. Well, after that it didn't get better.  I went to the ENT and he said it's a virus.  There is a drop you can take or get a shot in the ear which will kill the virus but, sadly, you only have up to 6 weeks after the hearing loss occurs for this to work.  Well, I was well past that 6 weeks so there was nothing he could do.  Hearing aids are expensive, and so far it hasn't helped me.  It's sucks, the background noise is magnified to the point that you can't hear someone next to you talking depending on the environment.  So for my Public Service Announcement and my 4,000 post: if you have hearing loss, go to the ENT, even if you don't have one, not your regular Dr. and do it right away!

Same thing happened to a family friend. He's had a hearing aid since he was your age (he's in his 50s now). Sorry to hear that shaggy.

Sorry to hear about this, Shaggy.  I can sympathize a bit, since my wife isn't even 40 yet, and has developed Type 2 diabetes, and has an auto-immune deficiency that requires her to have IV infusion treatments every 4 weeks, likely for the rest of her life.  It's expensive to maintain those conditions and keep on top of them, and it definitely hampers her ability to live her life to the fullest the way she (and I) would like her to.

On a happier note, I have a photo to share which is what I'd call a "belated score" update.  Months ago, I posted a pic of an official Nintendo Game Boy Color case I bought at a garage sale.  There was nothing in the case, and the guy said it was the only retro gaming item he had available.  In any event, I looked inside the main section, but don't remember unzipping the back pocket.  Last night, I unzipped the back pocket, because I've been using it to hold GBA games, and needed to put my latest arrivals in there.  Lo and behold, I stumbled across some GB-related manuals that were in the case!  Part of me wants to say I picked these up somewhere, and just put them in the case for convenience, but I honestly don't remember.  Either way, it was a nice discovery, and I'll be able to add this to my ever growing pile of GB/GBC/GBA manuals I own!

Here is the Pre-Orders and the stuff my brother grabbed from Thrift Stores.

Oh and Gamer Kitty had to get in the Pic again.

He found another Computron - and a Boxed Official Top Gun Controller Stoked about that one! (Number 1 Favorite Movie)

and no your not seeing double - I pre-ordered and purchased when it was announced from Best Buy and then pre-ordered another copy at GameStop so I could get the soundtrack :-)
