@sirpsycho: Great Idea for storing genesis carts, might have to keep an eye out for those next time I go thrifting.

Got some good finds and upgrades today.

I found some nice cassette drawers to upgrade my Master System and Genesis cart storage. 2 for $1, and these will keep my carts dust free!

FAIR WARNING: I use those kinds of cassette cases to store my own bare Genesis/MD carts. Be very careful opening and closing the drawers. If one of the carts shifts in its spot in the drawer and misaligns, it can jam it shut.

On another note: 2 for $1?! On what looks to be a 36-cassette drawer case?! I'm lucky if I find one for $2.99 or less at any of my local thrifts!  Sad

Hey, speaking of cassettes:

Be careful getting into the world of Super Chargers. It's a lowly hole for only the bravest and most insane 2600 collectors.......like me

Picked up over half the Supercharger game library a couple years back. It was one of my more memorable thrifting finds:

See, if it weren't for your very persuasive blog post, I might never have known the (potential) joy of playing Solar Fox. Sure took me long enough to finally grab a copy, though, huh? You can blame the Skylanders for distracting me all those years...

I ran into that when I was first loading it up before the picture. The far right drawer is not full, so the carts were falling over and got in the way of everything else. The others are sturdy because they're packed full. That drawer on the left literally holds every single Master System cart I own right now, it was just the right number of slots at 13. So the whole drawer is a 36 slot drawer.

Hey all! Thrift day for my brother he went out with my mom to Omaha as I didn't feel like going out there and didn't have a ton of money..because I finally picked up a few things that I have been saving for..for a while.  One will be on it's way (a joint purchase with my brother) and I finally got enough money saved up for a few things I have had on hold with our Very own Bickman for well a better part of a year haha we both just kept spacing it off lol. Thanks again Bickman!!!

My brother got everything for $1.00 - even the complete in Box Speak & Spell - It was marked at $15 but it was a special tag day he said.  All the Goodwill games were a $1.00 thanks to hook up. And he finally found some Tiger Handhelds been a while.

Both NES were $5.00 a piece says parts only but I am going to work on them and see whats wrong - one of them is the Canadian Mattel Version.  Pokemon Emerald Guide $0.50 with Poster.

and Thank you Bickman for the TG16  and SMS Cards - Controllers are on their way got them cheap - and watching a manual.

I luckily only spent a total of $1.00 on for Indiana Jones books not shown.

^^ Nice score on that TG16!

Here are today's Goodwill finds - more Xbox games than I usually see at one location. Also, stoked about the Activision collection:

And here are my pawn shop finds. Very excited about the Watch Dogs game, especially at the price I paid for it!

Xbox and 24 games for 60$ CAD!

I'm almost sad to say but I'll be selling a few of these to cover the cost of the lot to basically get a bunch of free stuff. I've purchased so many games at retail/ebay price, it's time to get some of that money back Sad

@krunch I just thought I'd mention that the GTA III and GTA VC go together, there's meant to be some cardboard packaging they both slip into. Smiley

I know! It's kind of a bummer that I don't have it. Probably can't find one alone. If I did it will likely have been crushed good Sad

Some awesome titles there! Sadly a Japanese ps1 isn't really all that cheap because I need one too haha

Picked up these at a new video game store that opened up in town.  The owner gave me 20% off.  Paid $23 total.

That's the best way to finance the hobby.  Buy lots, flip doubles/games you don't want or need to buy the next one, at least that works for me.

I'm starting to get a boner for original xbox exclusives.  It's like the 32x.  The games aren't very good, but there's a bunch of unique titles and you can get most of them for pennies on the dollar.

And by the way krunch, I see you got a bunch of Star Wars games there.  There's about 900 Star Wars games for the Xbox.

@krunch - looks like a great deal, and a bunch of solid titles for cheap!  That'll provide you a ton of game time.  I've come to really like the original Xbox, despite its quirks.  It's an interesting console.

@shaggy  Sweet NES scores.  Now, don't ruin it by actually playing Peter Pan and the Pirates.  [shiver]

@krunch  The first Xbox really brings back memories for me.  I was an Xbox guy.  I loved it for its quirky titles and robust console functionality.  I ripped many of my CDs to the hard drive to have custom soundtracks in games, and the graphics, coming out of the PS1's era of misaligned and muddy textures, looked like what 3D graphics should look like.  Microsoft tacitly marketed it as a gamer-friendly follow up to the Dreamcast, even snagging Shenmue II for the system.

I really enjoyed my Xbox.  I still have it, in fact, though I softmodded it long ago.  I did have a PS2 eventually, but only when I got one for free.
