Well, well. I guess no one was willing to take advantage of the Royale Rumble over the last few days of the month. Oh well, who can blame them after the stellar performance that MetalFRO put together over the last month. Congrats good sir on taking home the title of 2014 RFGen Top Shmuper (which will soon be added above your avatar) and a certain blinged out belt will be coming your way for display in your game room, living room mantle, bathroom, or headboard.  Thanks to all who participated this month. Hope you had a BLAST!

I had a lot of fun this last month, and got to pull out a couple old favorites, as well as a couple newer games I was needing to put some time into. I thought maybe I would have had a hard time keeping up with some of the players here, but I guess I'm a little better at shmups than I thought. I'd love to do another one of these at some point.

That's a great idea. I would like to be able to really dig into a shmup (or 2), and work on not only beat a game, but to concentrate on it long enough to really get a handle on the scoring mechanics, especially in a game that employs a more sophisticated scoring system.

Yep, and hey, looks like you received your profile award! Belt will be to you in a few weeks. I'm dealing with the fund drive raffle right now and I still need to attach the plane to your belt.

I truly wish I'd known a belt was on the line for that playthrough. I would've been in like Flynn.

I can't wait to get that belt! I'll be posting pictures of myself triumphantly holding the belt high above my head in 80's wrestler fashion to my Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr accounts. Maybe my blog, too Cheesy

Okay, so I know it's taken me forever to post this, but here's the belt, with me holding it up in the air in a victorious Link sort of pose:

Pretty awesome, and a great conversation piece.
