Okay, this time I legitimately made it to Stage 5 with the NES Max, but WITHOUT TURBO. Just want to make sure I stated that Smiley

Does anyone know how to view the results from a single run in R-Type Final? All I can seem to pull up under Data & Gallery -> War Chronicles is the cumulative total. I clocked over 4 hours on this save prior to starting to play today, so my totals are skewed. I'm wondering if I should start a new pilot, or what I should do...

Scores updated. Welcome to the top MetalFRO!

I think there was post about this earlier after I asked.

HOLY COW, I suck at R-Type Final. I don't remember being this bad at it, but I'm not even getting through the battleship stage, which I can usually manage in R-Type games. I guess I've been away from this game for far too long. The bottom score is the one you'll want to use. The top is my best from a previous play years ago.

Also, please remember that today is the last day of the Gradius/R-Type Final portion of the playthrough. You MUST submit all scores by midnight server time tonight. I believe the server is set to Central Time, so be sure to plan accordingly so that your scores are posted in time.

Just for kicks I just played a little Gradius II, Life Force and Salamander, and Parodius. We sure did pick the hardest game out of that whole bunch!

I'm also wondering, do you guys pronounce it gray-dee-is or grah-dee-us?

I've always heard it pronounced gray-dee-us, but I can't even pronounce Y's right. So what do I know.
