As a 21st century soldier of fortune, you crash-land on the war-torn planet, Targ. Your ship is beyond repair, but you discover other means of transportation.
The Palyars, beleaguered inhabitants of Targ, are in continuous conflict with the Mechanoids, and alien race of robots. Each offers great rewards for your services. You can choose which side to work for or remain independent (if you can!). But you must learn to tell the difference between the Palyars and the Mechanoids before you can make good use of either.
Explore the surface of Targ from the air and discover an important key. Travel underground and collect valuable objects. Fly to the Colony Craft that orbits the planet, where you can sell many of your treasures.
Benson, a ninth generation PC, is your guide to, and interface with, the alien environment. A control panel at the bottom of the screen is your link with Benson. This panel keeps you up-to-date on you altitude, compass location, vector location, speed, and elevation. it also transmits any communications from Benson or the aliens.
Your ultimate goal is to find an interstellar ship and escape from Targ. But a true Mercenary won't leave without first acquiring many riches!
