Overview:
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Dragons of Flame for the Commodore 64 is an action/adventure game developed by US Gold and published by Strategic Simulations, Inc. in 1989. It is the second of the "Silver Box" games (with Heroes of the Lance being the first). The third title, Shadow Sorceror, didn't see release on the Commodore 64.
Gameplay is very similar to Heroes of the Lance, where the player controls a party of up to ten characters (from eight in the previous game) individually, where characters can be swapped out via a submenu. New is an map screen where the player can move around.
The plot is based on the end of the first Dungeons and Dragons Dragonlance novel, Dragons of Autumn Twilight. Players must now adventure in both Sla Mori and Pax Tharkas, questing to find an ancient sword in the former location, and rescue women and children in the latter.
