The Sega CD, though not a console I ever had or played as a kid, has become one of my favourites as I've expanded my knowledge of retro games. Its library is fairly small - 159 NA releases - and it consists of a lot of FMV games, movie adaptations, some great RPGs and standout adventure titles like Snatcher.
Here's a look at my collection of Sega CD games as well as a look at the console I play them on, the JVC X'Eye.
Great video - glad the clones selected a more obscure device to have you feature. Some more info for your (hopefully) viewing pleasure on the specs / history on the X'Eye / Wondermega : http://www.videogameconsolelibrary.com/pg90-xeye.htm
A hidden gem that you may want to check out within the Sega CD library: Heart of the Alien (Sega CD exclusive). This also includes the excellent Another World on a separate disc as a bonus.
Good stuff, Pam! I love my X'Eye. Assuming you're using an upscaler to capture footage from it, I would recommend using an RGB SCART solution. I have a Retro Gaming Cables "Packapunch" cable, and it looks amazing through my OSSC, line doubled 5x to 1080P. Very crisp.
@Marriott_Guy: Thanks! I'm also happy this was chosen, I always assume people are going to go for Nintendo. Thanks for the link and the recommendation - Heart of the Alien is one I always look at at swaps but have never picked up.
@MetalFRO: I use a Framemeister to play and capture footage from the X'Eye. It looks great.
