Number 2 already? Yeah, this year has been going slow, very slow. This time last year, I was up to . . . 2? Wait, last year started out slow too. The year before that, I was up to six by this time, yeah that sounds better. So this year has been slow, very slow in fact. I fully blame the weather though. We were in a near constant freeze through March, and as soon as the temps got above 40, it started raining and has only stopped a few times since. But luckily, I was able to get some game hunting in during those precious dry days. This was my first flea market purchase of the year. I first saw this lot and passed on it. The guy was asking $40 for the lot, but wasn't at the spot during my first pass, so I asked the guy that was with him if he'd take $20 for it. He didn't think so, so I walked away. I could tell from looking through the games that I needed very few, in fact, I estimated only one or two were ones I needed. After walking through the rest of the market, I came back. The owner was now there, so I offered $25. He said "no" so I went up to $30, he thought about it for a second, and then agreed. All in all, there's 34 games, of which I needed 10, about half were new titles, the others were new variants. The rest are for sale. I haven't tested the system yet, but the fact that two of the controllers are newer, leads me to believe it has worked in the past few years at least. The power cord was broken, and duct taped together, so I fixed it right, soldering the wires and wrapping in electrical tape. The RF switch was also chewed through, in several places, I'm not going to bother fixing it since I have dozens of them anyway. If anyone can identify those two controllers in the front, I'd appreciate it, there are no markings or names on them at all.
I also got a loose Quake II (N64) that day for $4.
I snagged this this past Friday at a garage sale. I was really hoping there would be games or something in the box when I saw it, but its just the organizer. The box is a little rough, it was on a porch and it rained the night before, and I think they left there in the rain. So it didn't get rained on, but maybe misted on or just a lot of humidity because some of the cardboard is peeling apart. And that "1.00" in giant letters doesn't help. I thought this was kind of unique because I've seen similar units before, but this one actually has the Nintendo Seal of Quality.

Its to bad that the box for that organizer got sprayed and written on. Its still pretty cool to get an official one though.

@Crabmaster2000: Yeah, but I'll have to display it on its side anyway, so the damage won't be visible most of the time. The fact that its official is the main reason I bought it, I probably wouldn't have if it was just a 3rd party thing.

The organizer's awesome, though it looks horrible functionality-wise from the box itself. I wonder how that got the Nintendo Seal, but some of the better organizers didn't.

@Shadow Kisuragi: It must be that "New High-Tech Look" the sticker describes.
Also worth noting is that it has the original Nintendo graphics on it, but an Oval Seal of Quality? Anachronistic.

I used to have that organizer when I was a kid! I remember it mostly because with the top on it looked like it might contain a record player instead of a game system.
Makes me kind of sad to think about it, but at the time I had it (maybe '89 or '90) I only had about four or five games to fill it. Back then Blockbuster only charged $3 for a three day rental, and I would place the rented games next to my own games. Sad. I even remember the games I had...
Strange just how many memories one picture can conjure up.
