It's been a while since the last installment, but for once this year, it's not because of a lack of sales, but because I simply couldn't go to many sales these last few weekends. Last Saturday, I was in Cleveland the entire weekend so I couldn't do any garage saling. I had planned on going to some gaming stores that were only 10 minutes from my hotel, but I had limited Internet connectivity in the hotel and had a tough time getting a map and directions so I wrote down basic instructions on a piece of paper, but it disappeared the morning I was going to go and then I couldn't get back online to get new directions, so I wasn't able to make it. This past Saturday, I spent the first half of Saturday volunteering at our new township park, so I missed the best garage saling times, but did manage to get in a few sales after 1:00, but I didn't find anything. Luckily, I was able to get to the flea market yesterday and found enough stuff to make a worthwhile post.
This was from the flea market a couple weeks ago. I saw this box with an Atari sticking out of it and looked underneath it to see all these games. I look through them and only see 4 that I don't know if I have, so I almost didn't bother asking for a price on it. But I figured if it was too much, I could get the ones I wanted for a reasonable price. So I asked the price and he said "$1" I looked at him kind of funny, thinking maybe he was talking to someone else, but realized he was talking to me, so I handed him a dollar and walked off with it. If you noticed, I said there was a system, but there isn't one in the picture, and that's because I ended up giving it to the guy I do a lot of trading with. It was dirty as hell, didn't have a power cord, and the A/V cord plug was cut off, so I figured it didn't work so by giving it to him, he might give me a better deal on something in the future. And it made my box lighter and easier for me to carry.
I got this on the same day as the Atari stuff. This was the only video game related item they had, so I asked for a price on it since I didn't have it. She said $2, I offered $1, and she accepted my offer.
I got this from a garage sale on the way to the flea market yesterday. The guy had a couple SMB/DH carts, a loose Genesis game and this LOZ each in a ziploc bag with a price on it. The SMB/DH's were $1, the others were $2. So I offered $1 for the LOZ and he accepted it. This one is in much better shape than the one I have, and I figured I could sell one for a little bit of profit.
This was sitting on a pile of VCRs and cheap DVD players that I almost completely ignored, but looked through them in case one of them was some obscure game system. None of them were, but this Saturn was there so I guess it was worthwhile for the extra look. It looked pretty beat up and the VCRs were priced high, so I almost didn't bother asking for a price, but the guy said it was $1. As I was paying him, he started saying how these were all in a store that the roof collapsed on and they all fell from the top shelf and they probably don't work. Obviously, he isn't the best salesman in the world, but I could tell it probably wouldn't work, but for $1 I was willing to take a chance on it.
I glanced at this while it was sitting on the ground, and automatically dismissed it as nothing, but then it hit me "was that an Etch a Sketch Animator?" so I went back for a closer look and realized it was and noticed it looked brand new and had a box, manual and styrofoam, so I paid the $5 he wanted for it. Does anyone know what is with the box? I looked on eBay and all the boxes on there look like traditional style boxes. Was this some kind of earlier/later release box, the outer shipping box or something?
This was the last purchase of the day, I was mainly interested in the Pro-Am game because it was CIB, but the box isn't in great shape so I was going to pass, but then the woman said I could have 2 for $3 instead of $2 each. So I picked up the boxed Hard Drivin' as well.
After last week's treasures, I have 2,016 total games, 1,615 unique games, and 401 duplicates. Which means I have 33 more total games, 7 more unique games, and 26 more duplicates since the last Treasure Hunt Chronicles. So far, I've spent $93.86 this year ($9.00 since THC #3), and I spent $0.00 this week to ship stuff for trades and I brought in $0.00 from selling stuff, so I'm still ahead $61.49 so far this year. The total spent (amount actually spent on games plus amount spent on shipping) this year, is $172.45 To sum up this year's stats, I have 94 more total games, 137 more unique games, and 43 less duplicates. And I am ahead $61.49.

Good finds considering how many garage sales you missed.

That definitely looks like a shipping box to me.

Not to be a dummy here, but what does CIB mean? I've been seeing it all over, and I figured the 'IB' part means 'in box', but what is the C?
