June was another scorching month, not only in terms of temperature, but also in submissions to the RFGeneration database. During the month, there were
8,503 total submissions, of which, 5,647 were games and the other 2,856 were hardware. In June, image submissions lead the way, with a total of 3,856 (3,768 games/88 hardware).
Though adding new software and hardware titles is important in increasing the size of our database, image submissions are just as important and help to enrich the quality of our site. How many times have you attempted to find a game, but were unsure about adding it to your collection without a photo to verify it? Though it's pretty cool to add a game to the database that no one else has, your image contributions help to make our site more user friendly. If you have a scanner, I urge you to contribute to RFGeneration in July and help enrich the quality of our database.
In the month of June, we had 14 members with over 100 submissions! The
top 5 submitters for the month were:
aeroc 1703
NES_Rules 1409
Tynstar 1112
Kam1Kaz3 NL77 700
Crabmaster2000 700
The
top 5 approvers for the month were:
Paully3433 1551
Shadow Kisuragi 1420
Tynstar 903
NES_Rules 428
ApolloBoy 126
Thanks to all who submitted and approved in the month of June and let's keep those submissions rolling in! Also, a big thanks the all the "wizards behind the curtain" who donate their time and skills to make RFGeneration the best site for video game collectors on the internet.
The sun was hot, myself was hot and the scanner was STEAMING hot!

It amazes me at how many submissions go into the database every month. Thanks everyone for making this site the best.

With a site with so much stuff loaded and continuing to get bigger, does the site literary just run on donations or is the owners of the site dishing out money out of there back pocket to make sure the site stays afloat?
|
@Tadpole13: We're always taking donations, and usually have a donation drive during the year to help prevent any out of pocket expenses. With that being said, there's usually some amount that comes out of pocket from Dave and Eddie to keep everything up and running.
A list of donors can be found here: http://www.rfgeneration.com/PHP/about.php?action=donors
If you'd like to donate and get yourself on that list, please do.

Is Paypal the only means of donation? Also if I wanted to buy a shirt or something is it the same way of payment? I have never used Paypal or cared to use it thus the reason I have never purchased a game online.
