Those of you who are a little more observant, may have noticed that little box over there on the right side of the home page that keeps track of the database stats. See it over there? Pretty neat isn't it? Well, you might notice that the total number of scans is just over 50,000. That's right, in a little over 5 years, RFGeneration has accumulated FIFTY THOUSAND scans.
This is obviously a momentous occasion for THE Classic and Modern Video Game Database, but we couldn't have done it without the hundreds of dedicated members who put in hours of their own time to scan these games. I've done my share of scanning, and I know how much work it can be to scan several games at once, so to those of you who have done thousands of scans, my hat goes off to you.

As the newest Site Director, I would like to personally thank each and every one of you that have contributed to the 50,000+ scans the site now has.
Now, let's see how quickly we can get to 100,000 scans!
It's been a while since I have submitted a scan, but many of the NES scans from my collection are here at RFGen!
Keep up the good work everybody.

Last time I scanned something for the site was my Mega CD copy of Battle Frenzy only a few weeks ago. Great achievement, everyone should deserve a pat on the back!

Wooo! Go RFGen!
|
Woohoo! 50K!
Congrats on all the people who made scans! (I guess I should buy a scanner one of these days...)

Glad to be of service ::bows::

AHHHH MAN!!!!!!
I missed the top 15 by 28 scans.
I guess I'll have to try harder on the next 50,000.

Great going by everyone! Scans are an obsession of mine. Love 'em. Something about box cover art for video games is on par with the smell of fresh coffee in the morning lol. On top of my TV I have the triangle box for Day of The Tentacle. The art work is always a pleasure to look at and I feel that way for most games. I suppose this stems from being a teen with no money and spending more time in the shops reading the back of the box rather than owning anything. Like I say, obsessive!

Remember when every thousand scans made a big anouncment?
Some of the staff, they can laugh at this.....or cry.
Man those days were fun though. Staying up till 4AM, scanning a hundred or two a night, editing......and then learning there was a free program that would do it all for you. Ya, those days....
