So, we're late. Unfortunately, right after we recorded this one, I had some personal obligations to attend to, so the episode wasn't able to get edited quite as fast as I wanted. But here it is! We have (now outdated) information on the PSN outage, our Gaming Shout Outs, and our next installment of the Gaming History Museum where we cover the RC Pro Am series. Of course, we also have our Top 5. Also, we're still looking for more votes for the caption contest. Picture reminder is after the break.

Link to Caption Contest vote
That was a fantasic story!! Everyone make sure to vote for Captionmaster20..... I mean Crabmaster2000 for the caption contest. He's hilarious.
|
@Crabmaster2000:Except there are no names attached in the spreadsheet!
|
Oh they'll know which one to vote for
|
@Crabmaster2000: I remember yours, and didn't vote for it. Found one more hilarious
|
@Shadow Kisuragi: Just realized - no vote rigging! It doesn\'t take into account votes from the same IP more than once.

I liked the RC Pro-Am retrospective. I had to laugh when you mentioned the song from the start of each race going through everyone's head (and it was mine) and then the sample. I still need a copy of 2, but I might check out the Genesis ver if I run across a nice copy.
Great show as usual. Keep 'em coming

you guys know that the Game Boy Player for the GameCube already has a link port built into it right? So you could definitely play 2-Player F-1 Race with two Cubes and two TV's. I'm NOT positive about 4-player though, as the GBA linkcable's 4-Player chaining might work differently than the original GB's 4-player adapter did. But theoretically, it could certainly be possible to get 4-Player Cube F-1 Race action going. Maybe Slackur should be some extra GBPlayers for his next LAN Party and let us know how it goes?

@noiseredux: Yeah, but where's the fun in that? Who wouldn't want to rip apart some Super Game Boy carts for some soldering?
By the way, here's the link that I forgot to include: http://gbdev.gg8.se/wiki/articles/Adding_a_Link_Port_to_Super_Gameboy

the other thing is that a Super Game Boy 2 exists in Japan. It has a link port already built in.

I love the R.C. Pro-Am games! I've never been able to grab of copy of II, but I love the first one and the GB title.
