Those of you old timers know that we have an annual tradition here at RF Generation that coincides with the anniversary of our site's creation. RF Generation is in it's 12th year of existence, and to celebrate, it's time for our annual PAIN YOURSELF WITH SUBMISSIONS contest. As all of you know, member submissions are what keeps this site going and ensures that we have the most up-to-date and best video game database on the Interwobz. To commemorate our anniversary, we hold an annual contest to see who can "contribute" the most to the site  during an allotted period of time (*see the description of contributions and points below).

So, here's how it works. From April 28th until June 8th, you try to make as many submissions as humanly possible. Our dedicated database staff will review the absurd amount of submissions and at the end of it all, one of you gets a super sweet prize package, which includes your choice of $60 worth of gaming goodness. Essentially, you win a shopping spree (not to exceed $60 and items have to be game related) on GameGavel, eBay, or Amazon, and we pick up the tab. Of course, you'll also be the coolest kid in town as you strut around in your new, official RF Generation Ringer T-shirt.

SEE OFFICIAL SUBMISSION TYPES AND RULES BELOW

We have all seen it.  The Sell Off.  Whether it be a relative newcomer to the hobby or a lifelong collector with rooms filled with decades of gaming memories, at some point, some people make the hard decision to sell their collection off.

This is done for various reasons, but it usually boils down to three categories (and there is even some overlap between them):

Enter 1990 (maybe early 1991). Hot from months of playing Final Fantasy (my introduction to the genre), I needed a new RPG to play, but I found my funds seriously lacking. So what do I turn to? The small wall of $20 games at the local game store. Of that lean selection of 15 or so games, there was one that caught my eye, with a description of "Action fantasy role playing" on the back of the box. With a joy that only children with extra funds can know, I bought Hydlide, unaware in the slightest the impact this game would have on my life as a gamer.
