You know what? We have a chat. Normally it's fun, and it's absurd. Recently, however, things have gone by the wayside. I've not quite whored out our chat as much as I used to. Did you know that the last time I did one of these posts was in April of 2009? Back then, Jay Leno was still the Tonight Show host! And today, he's on the verge of becoming it again! How weird that these things come out to be. Anyways, I'm not the only one that's noticed that the chat has fallen to the wayside: [23:45] Roehm21: dammit hang on

Lol, it's been quite a while since you've made one of these indeed. Funny stuff. Due to my somewhat unfavorable time zone I often find myself alone in the chat when I go in there though.

The old chat room was much better than this crap in my opinion. And there actually was a certain night to get everyone to chat but than that got changed...

@shaggy: I blame it on Alfador.
Although the current chat is kind of nice because there are actually people there a lot more often than there was in the old chat.

@shaggy: The old chat killed the site. It was hosted on our server and the sheer number of mySQL queries it made crushed the server. Having the chat on Quakenet keeps the server load off of our server.
@Link41: I'm not actively reading the chat like I used to, but I have added Mike as an impartial op. I also have nothing against you. I'm sorry if two people are being disparaging towards you. If I notice it I'll take care of it.

I log on during my night shift occasionally, but kind of like Sirgin said no one is on at that hour.

@TraderJake: Well that sucks. I prefer the old chat a lot better but I understand about the load on the server and the need to change.
