In this month's episode of the Playcast, Rich (singlebanana) and Shawn (GrayGhost81) play the highly-anticipated sequel to 2K's Bioshock franchise, with Bioshock 2. The guys discuss their favorite dystopian environments in various forms of media, and disclose some films that they've never seen that may call the validity of their "geek cards" into question. This November we played through our first ever title on the original Game Boy. Hosts, Rich (singlebanana) and Shawn (GrayGhost81), are joined by special guest, RF Generation site member, and gray brick aficionado, MetalFRO (aka. The Game Boy Guru) to discuss the classic, action/adventure RPG, Final Fantasy Adventure. In this episode, the guys discuss the gameplay, the weapons and items, the somewhat convoluted story, and the game's surprisingly complex music. Did this game pass the classic gaming "sniff test" for all of the guys, or is it just another lackluster relic from days of yore? It's nice to see that all of that Thanksgiving turkey didn't cause our submitters and approvers to fall asleep on the job in November. I'm once again excited to report that we had another fantastic month of submissions at RF Generation. With last month's impressive 6,174 submissions, I thought we might slow down, but I'm happy to announce that our members knocked it out of the park once again with 6,686 submissions! The submissions for November included 6,375 game submissions (4,187 of which were images) and 311 hardware submissions. We had another great effort from our international members and this month there we lots of members who contributed over 50 submissions. Top contributors for the month of November include:

November is the month to give thanks (unless you're one of those weirdos in Canadia  ), and what better way to show your thanks to RF Generation then to join our monthly playthroughs. We've got some exciting games lined up for you next month, so don't be a turkey and dine with us on a healthy portion of video game goodness. On the retro side, join singlebanana and Disposed Hero in the pet-friendly, SNES RPG, Secret of Evermore. On the modern side, Grayghost81 and Fleach host our playthrough of the action-packed title, Gravity Rush released on the Playstation Vita in 2012.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
**Before, we get too far into our game announcement, the RF Generation Playcast has some other exciting news for our loyal listeners. Around the middle of September, we will be moving our hosting services from Podomatic to PodBean. With Podomatic's service, we have always been confined to a specific storage and bandwidth limitation. Once we neared our storage capacity, we had to start deleting old episodes every month, which also removed them from iTunes and Stitcher. For a lower cost, PodBean allows us to house all of our episodes and maintain full download capabilities from their site, as well as our RSS feed affiliates (iTunes & Stitcher). Once we compared our options, the move was kind of no-brainer. We have already uploaded all of our episodes to PodBean and created a working homepage at http://rfgenplaycast.podbean.com/, so please go ahead and check it out!
If you subscribe to use on Podomatic, iTunes, or Stitcher, please note that our next episode (which will be released at the beginning of September) will be our last episode released on Podomatic. You will need to resubscribe once we change our RSS feed. This will occur toward the middle of September and we will be sure to notify you on the RF Generation forums and homepage. With the month of August nearly half over, we continue to struggle through the rugged platforming of Little Nemo: The Dream Master and a few of us are wading through the tumultuous sands of Dubai in Spec Ops: The Line. Get ready to plow through some other great titles this September, and join GrayGhost81 as he moves to the retro side with playthrough veteran, Fleach, to host the Konami PSX classic, Metal Gear Solid (PSX/PSN/PS2/PS3/360/PC). Likewise, retro host singlebanana takes a walk on the wild side with games buster, Disposed Hero, and hosts next month's modern playthrough, Indigo Prophecy (PS2/XBox/Steam).

Welcome to December, everyone. For those that celebrate it (including our Canadian members), I hope your Thanksgiving left you full and happy. Congrats to those that were able to take advantage of Black Friday here in the US, and for the rest of the world, enjoy the upcoming holidays.
It looks like our members were able to feast on things other than turkey this month. We were able to increase over last month's submissions by 1317 submissions, leaving us just under 5000 at 4977. A large number of these were in the Game Addition and Variation categories. Large shoutout to Paully, Sirgin and Bildtstar for their efforts on those fronts!
Way out in front his month is Paully3433 with 1600 submissions! He's been adding large chunks of Game Boy, Game Boy Color, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation games to the database, so let's give him a hand for his hard work.
Further down the list, with 1/3 of Paully's number, is Bildtstar with 547, Shadow Kisuragi with 513, Sirgin with 452, and Izret101 with 317. Looks like the staff has been busy!

Keep up the good work everyone! Many of the staff edits that we're working on are for a very specific reason - I'll reveal this in another announcement later, but the changes mainly affect folks living in Europe and modifications to our region policies for Europe.
