The popularity of the new Switch console and it’s ability to play throughout the house has brought a new partnership to the video game company. Upcoming firmware version 4.01 for the Switch will bring Philips Hue integration. The firmware was leaked with the video below.
Nintendo of America’s Reggie Fils-Aime stated in a recent Washington Post interview (https://www.washingtonpos...h/?utm_term=.08ade171f06c) that “We’re talking to a range of companies about other services, companies like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon — things that will come in time. In our view, these are not differentiators. What differentiates us is the way you play with the Nintendo Switch and what you can play. And that will continue to be our focus into the future as we continue driving this platform.”
Philips is aiming to be a new differentiator by allowing you to have home automation as a part of the software as you use your Switch throughout your house. Look for further details of this at E3 2017.
I'm not buying it. I mean, look at the date? You can't trust ANYTHING on the Internet today!
