Welcome to another edition of
RF Generation's Site News! In this issue, we announce August's playthrough games (yes, games!), talk about what's new with Retro World Expo, and of course, we thank those who sent in submissions to our site during the month of June. If you have any news about upcoming events or topics that you think the site needs to hear about, please PM
singlebanana and put "RFG Site News" in the subject line. Who knows, maybe your news will make our front page!

AUGUST 2016 PLAYTHROUGH ANNOUNCEMENT

In honor of the upcoming release of Nintendo's
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the RF Generation Playcast team has decided to kick it back to the franchise game that started it all. In August, we return to Hyrule again to slay Octoroks, Tektites, Peahats, and eventually stumble into Death Mountain to face the formidable Ganon, in Nintendo's
The Legend of Zelda. It's dangerous to go out alone, so grab that shiny gold cart off the shelf (...or one of the many other versions of this classic) and join your fellow members as we race to collect all eight pieces of the tri-force and rescue Princess Zelda.
For those members who really want to challenge themselves, we will be also be playing through the 2nd quest during the latter half of the month. For those who aren't familiar,
The Legend of Zelda has another quest built in. It features a similar world map, but dungeons and items have been moved around, tougher enemies show up earlier, and some levels are even completely changed! It's truly one of the toughest feats to accomplish in gaming and we look forward to some monster thrashin', block pushin', and bush burnin' action with our fellow participants.
But wait! There's more. In honor of the dog days of summer and our thoughts turning to lounging lazily upon the beach, we present an additional title for your enjoyment. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the pixilated water...here comes
Jaws for the Nintendo Entertainment System! Throughout the month of August, we will be playing and discussing this quick, pickup and put down title at leisure. So when the dungeon exploring going gets tough and those Darknuts get you down, take a break from the "heat" and cool off in our playthrough of
Jaws!
The August RF Generation playthroughs are classic titles that you certainly don't want to miss, so sign up
HERE today.
And hey, if you haven't checked out our special E3 2016 SideCast yet, what are you waiting on?:

WHAT'S NEW WITH RWX?
We are less than 100 days from RetroWorld Expo '16. Exhibitor tables are already sold out so expect a packed floor with a ton to see and do. If you're going, be sure to check in on our forums and stop by the RF Generation table to visit with the other members. Who knows, maybe you'll get invited to eat some mashed potato pizza!
For all you tabletop enthusiasts we can confirm that Z-Man Games will be hosting a
Pandemic tournament. We can also confirm that we will have
Magic: The Gathering drafts and tournaments throughout both days of RWX.
