I hope you're all having a good Fourth of July (and for those of you that aren't American, Happy Wednesday). If you haven't noticed, we have two brand new DB Contributors, both of these gentlemen have been members here at the site for years and have made thousands of contributions between them over the years. Because of their dedication, they've been brought onto staff to make it even easier for them to contribute and thus to help flesh out the databases even more. So congratulations to Aeroc and Sirgin for making it to staff and thanks for your past (and future) contributions!
I'd like to officially announce three new staff members to the RF Generation team! First off, we have two new DB Contributors, Bildtstar and Raffa1985! These guys have been a submission storm the last few months, with hundreds of images and page edits, and they have been great assets in our fight toward cleaning up the Euro sections of the DB. So take a look at the Euro sections, especially the PS1 and PS2, there's still a lot of work to be done, but its going to get there a lot faster with these gentlemen on staff.
But that's not all for staff additions, we have one more, this time its an entirely new staff position. TheGrue will be joining the RFG team as a Programmer. This position will allow him to take his already wonderful Android App to the next level, making it run smoother and faster. He'll also be helping out with normal site programming in the future, allowing us to roll out new features and fixes even faster.
Last but certainly not least, we have the promotion of Shadow Kisuragi. Shadow's been excelling at every staff position he's been at and has shown he is devoted to RF Generation, so the other Directors and I thought it would benefit everyone to have him be a Director. His main responsibilities will be overseeing the Technical/Programming aspects of the site, so he'll be the one mainly in charge of making sure the site continues to run smoothly and keeping the staff on track to rolling out new features.
So give these gentlemen a round of applause, they definitely deserve it for all the hard work they have already done and all the hard work they will be doing in the future to making sure that RF Generation continues to be THE Classic and Modern Video Games Database.
Keep it on Channel 3!
At RF Generation, we're always growing, whether its new members or new games, some part of this community is always growing. Today, I'm announcing the growth of our staff here at RF Generation. Three members are joining the staff, one is joining the ranks of the DB staff and two are joining the Bloggers.
Joining the DB staff as a DB Contributor is Shadow Kisuragi. Shadow has been a member since June 2009, but only became active in submitting this February, but in that time, he has made over 700 submissions.
Joining the bloggers as Blog Writers, are noiseredux and slackur. Noiseredux is the one responsible for all those Game Boy articles you've been reading and loving these past few months. So look forward to those, and maybe even some new things in the future! If the name "slackur" sounds familiar to you, its because he's that guy you're jealous of because he has a bigger collection than you. That's right, he has the largest collection of anyone listed on RF Generation, but not only does he have a lot of games, he writes about them quite nicely. So look forward to his unique style of writing about all kinds of topics in the future.
So take the time to congratulate these members, they've worked hard to achieve these positions, and they deserve all the thanks they can get.
But wait, there's more! Long time Blog Writer, Crabmaster2000, was also upgraded to Blog Contributor due to his hard work and continued dedication.
Now, if you think you have what it takes to join the staff here at RFG, we're always looking for more staff members. If you'd like to considered for the next round of hiring, send me a PM, or do what these people did and make it obvious that you should be on staff by submitting every chance you get or blogging about your gaming or collecting life like there is no tomorrow.
As a Director of this fine site, I'd like to welcome the newest addition to the RFGen staff, Crabmaster2000! He will be joining the ranks of the RFG staff as a Blog Writer, which means he'll be gracing the front page of RFGeneration more often. He will be writing about the 'Unloved' games that most of us pass by as well as giving a description of the current month's "Off The Shelf" game, which was also a creation of his.
So, fellow members, take the time to congratulate Crabmaster2000, he certainly deserves it! And remember to keep it on Channel 4 to read his and all the wonderful blog posts on THE Classic and Modern Video Games Database!
On behalf of everyone at RF Generation, I'd like to welcome NES_Rules to the RF Generation team. He shall be joining us as a blog writer, specifically focusing on collecting. NES_Rules has been an active member of our community for a very long time, and when he is not working for the Mahoning County Engineer lives on this website, besting me by a whopping 6 days of online time. Certainly, we're really excited to have him on our team.
NES_Rules is a model community member for RF Generation, and we welcome him on board with open arms. What articles will he write? What collecting finds will he get? How many more days of online time will he best me by? Find out soon!
This post is a long time coming. In the past few months we've added quite a few members to staff, but as far as I am aware of we've never introduced them. Well, today let me spend the time to introduce our new staff members, and officially welcome them into the community.
First off, I'd like to welcome the new hardware contributors, Marriott_guy and ApolloBoy, their enthusiasm for all things hardware related make them a welcome part of the team. We certainly hope that the hardware database will grow with their help.
Next, we've added quite a few European Staff members to the fold. Recently, Belgarath and Magewout were added to the fold, and sharp was welcomed back onto staff. They join the existing team of Speedy_NES and AndyC. To say that we are elated with these additions to the team would be an understatement. We are truly lucky to have these five enthusiastic people on board to help make sure the PAL database grows.
We've also added a new features writer and a new blog writer into the fold. Our new features writer OatBob and our new blog writer Tondog will strive along with the existing features and blog writers to make sure that the pages of our site have substance. I encourage you all to check out their work.
In addition to these new staff members, we've also moved some editors around to satisfy needs. AndyC has elected to assist in moving forward the European Database, and we enthusiastically grant his wish. Replacing AndyC in the hardware editor position will be Tan, who will also remain the blog editor as well. We wish both of these two the best of luck in their new positions.
So, let's officially welcome these new staff members to the team. With their help, the site will truly become something great.
