Well, some of you may be aware of the Spike TV Video Game Awards. It's pretty much a show of which games are the most violent, bloody games on the market, not necessarily the best, unless of course you thoroughly enjoy only violent, mature games. Certainly, this list is a reflection of our culture's Roman Tendencies. I thoroughly look forward to the day when I can watch prisoner's fight to the death against each other at the local stadium. I hope they are given random weapons, ranging from truly awesome to absolutely absurd. Who wants to fight to the death with a rubber chicken? Certainly, I do not.

So yeah, without further ado, here is are the nominations for the Game of the Year:

Game of the Year
BioShock (360)

No SMG in GOTY, flop.

These awards are so biased against Nintendo/Sony it's not even funny. I love how the game of the year nominees are the same as the Xbox 360 game of the year nominees. These awards should be called Spike's Xbox 360 Awards Sponsored by Halo 3 and Microsoft that's how biased and ridiculous these nominees are.

But yeah, here's what I think should win. (Reposted from something I said at PS3forums.com)

What will probably win is in italics, what I think should win (of the games mentioned) will be in bold...

When the Spike TV video games awards first came out I was happy but after multiple years I've come to see that this award show is bullshit.  It is so biased.  This year it is Microsoft and if I recall correctly it was Tony Hawk pulling the strings.  What a piece of trash award show and it should be taken off the air.

@shaggy:

Word...watched it last year and it was pretty moronic and funny...not "ha ha" funny, but more like a pathetic Brittney Spears train-wreck sort of funny.

I have always thought Spike Game Awards sucked ass. I dont understand how games that are not out or have been out for a week can be on the list.

Tondog next year after all the amazing PS3 games come out there will be some more PS3 games on that list.

I don't care about the lack of PS3 titles honestly. I just care about the lack of stuff other than what's on 360.

But thats where most of the big titles for the year have been released. I am sorry but the Wii is not for hardcore gamers so this awards show will hold that against them.

What a terribly biased load of crap. That being said major major major XD at Halo 3 for having breakthrough technology. You'd think they would have a Wii game or two in that section.
