Earlier in the day, a vicious rumor began to surface regarding Peter Moore, the head honcho over at X-Box station. It was rumored that Mr. Moore would be resigning his position in order to take over the helm at EA sports. Well, after about 4 hours speculation this nasty rumor has been confirmed -- Peter Moore is leaving Microsoft for the publishing giant known as EA. Of course, you may be wondering who will be taking over Peter's previous job. That person would be Don Mattrick. Previously he was an outside adviser for Microsoft, and oddly enough before that he was President of EA. Strange isn't it? We here at RF Generation wish the best for Mr. Moore, and we certainly hope he finds himself at home at EA Sports. Somehow, I think he'll be rather quick to adjust from one monster of a company to another, but certainly we can't wait to see what Peter Moore does in his new job, or if he has any insightful comments he'd like to say about Microsoft's X-Box business. No offense to Don or anything but I don't think he has the kind of likable personality that overcomes the huge corporate image like Peter did.

I would say something here, but I'm a responsible adult, and I won't.
|
Holy hell! I would if EA just offered him a shit ton of money.
Maybe EA will buy Sega now.

hehhe, he left the Dreamcast camp before they took a dive, now he's ditchin' out on those Xboxers. Something tells me that despite this, Microsoft is still here to stay in the games biz.

I don't know Ben. With all the hardware failures and massive amounts of money lost, the Xbox could be a sinking ship.

@Tynstar:
They did offer him a shit ton of money:
http://biz.gamedaily.com/industry/feature/?id=16830
"The newest Form 8-K filed by EA with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has revealed that EA's offer letter to Peter Moore included a one-time signing bonus of $1.5 million "in recognition of the future compensation value he would be foregoing by leaving his position at Microsoft" and an annual base salary of $550,000."

OMG. That is a ton of cash. I would be tempted, but not sure I'd go to EA.
