While reading Nik the Communist's great blog post about Myst turning 15 today, I got an idea (see his post here); A weekly historical blog!

Every week, on Saturday evening, or Sunday morning, I will do some research on meaningful historical occurrences within gaming history. Sounds like fun, right? Well, that is what I thought. But then I ran into a snag... I am not to great at what is called 'html' coding.

So! This will give me an opporitunity to use my brain on the weekend, when I am not in school. This will be not only a learning experience for you, but for me as well. If all goes well, then "Official Post Numero Uno" will be this Saturday Night/Sunday Evening! Wish me luck! And if you have any games that you want to see make their way into the post, just shoot me a pm!

And, have you all know, this post was my first lesson. None of the code was copied and pasted. Yay me? I think SO! *Applause*

So, make sure to stay on RFgeneration and KEEP IT ON 3!!!!

Thank you for acknowledging my post!

Your idea about doing a weekly history feature is pretty cool; however, that is very close to what I was going to do! Except for the part that I would post on the day of the event, and you want to post at the end of the week.
At any rate, the history of video games is an important subject, and the more people learn about it, the better. So two similar blogs may not be a bad idea: I probably have a different style of writing, and different areas of expertise, and I try to add my personal opinion, so it would not be the same.

Anyways, as a fellow unofficial video game historian, I wish you good luck! Is your blog going to be about the upcoming week or the current week? Because for the next week we have a big day coming up! Two parts of the same game came out on the same day, and the third part coming out this October! This is bigger than a nuclear explosion, I'm telling you.

I kind of agree with Nik although there can never be enough to read around here, so...

Good luck, logical, I'm looking forward to it! Smiley

Now because I promoted this, I hold this to you. I'll hold you to the same journalistic integrity that I hold myself to. Tongue

@TraderJake: Okay then. I will do this WITH MY LIFE AT STAKE!!! Too bad I don't know what game Nik is talking about though... Sad

@Nik the Russian: Holy Crap Command and Conquer!!!! Part 3!!! Must HAVE!!! Now the real question... Are they making it for MAC?

Good luck!

Oh, the game is Fallout.
