Over the years, MANY games based on the Star Wars franchise have been released.  Some to great acclaim, like the Rogue Squadron series on the N64 and GameCube, or the original Star Wars Battlefront games during the 6th generation.  Others haven't fared so well.  Many SW universe games have been lost to time, like the Jedi archives.  Where does Star Wars on the Game Boy rank among the list?  You'll have to watch to find out!

Nice detailed review once again and enjoyed it. Had some fun with this game back in the day. Sadly the C64 never had a decent Star Wars game.

Rogue Squadron is easily one of the greatest N64 games! I loved it so very much Smiley As for handheld Star War games, I've never played this installment, it looks kinda meh. I tried out Super Star Wars on Vita(Thanks cross-buy!!) recently and was utterly destroyed by the difficulty Tongue

I've never played this game, though I did play the NES one, which I enjoyed despite how limited and difficult it was.  I imagine if I had a GB back in the day, I would have played the dickens out of this game.  By the way, what is up with Luke's walking animation?  He walks like a cartoon pimp from 1971!

@FatherJack: Yeah, it's surprising that no C64 SW game game out, especially considering it was around and popular during the series' original height of popularity.

@Link41: Yeah, the Super Star Wars series is brutal, but there's definitely fun to be had with those.  I have Super SW and Super Empire, though I haven't snagged Super RotJ yet, except the GB port Tongue

@bombatomba: I haven't played the NES game yet, but I suspect it would be easier, and many of the problems I highlighted wouldn't have been issues on the NES game, because you wouldn't have had the zoomed in perspective.  The other inherent flaws would likely still have been present, but some of those could possibly have been overlooked, or worked around.  The GB version, however, is just not good enough to proudly wear the Star Wars mantle.
