MONKEY ISLAND IS BACK! This time, with a new episodic series from the modern masters of adventure, Telltale Games for Wiiware and PC. Here's the trailer:
Also, LucasArts has announced a remake of the first Monkey Island for PC and Xbox Live Arcade.

But Tales of Monkey Island does not look good. Le Chuck sounds weird, the graphics are over simplified, and judging by the video it's choppy with basic animations.
@James: I didn't find anything wrong with it, looked like a fun game for a measly 1000 Nintendo Points
