Count me as one who died all the time in The Stampede level. I think I passed it once or twice. Graphically, I thought this game was super impressive all around but that level had a bit of a 3D feel to it that you just didn't experience much in the 16-bit days. I had this game for SNES, I can't imagine there was much different between the two versions?
One distinction I've noticed between the Capcom and Sega published Disney games, and those by Virgin Interactive, such as this, is that VI tends to subvert expectations with their titles, sometimes to their detriment. The animation and graphics in the game are gorgeous. But the gameplay is tricky, because of the need for pixel-perfect jumps and precision timing. For a game designed with small children in mind, it's quite unforgiving. I'm not looking forward to covering the Game Boy version of this, because I've already played a little of it, and I can tell it's not going to be an easy one to play through.
