Collectorcast
Episode 11 discussion thread: http://www.rfgeneration.c...rum/index.php?topic=11204

How would YOU like to be a guest on an upcoming RFGeneration Collectorcast episode? The winner of this auction will get to join hosts Crabmaster2000, Duke.Togo, and Wildbil52 for an interview. http://www.gamegavel.com/....cgi?show_item=0000715716

This will be your chance to talk about your collection, share your passion for the hobby, and tell Crabby yourself why Super Metroid is great (or not, I suppose if you are one of THOSE people.)

All proceeds from this auction will go directly to support RFGeneration. RFGeneration is supported solely on donations, we have zero advertisements and everything on the site is completely free. Any and all donations go strictly to paying for our server costs. Well, what are you waiting for? GET BIDDING!

We have talked at length in the past about many of the quirks involved with a collectors persona. Do those oddities manifest themselves into your gaming life also? The three of us reflect on our game playing to see if our collector mentality spills over. Apparently it hits some of us harder than others Wink

We also hope you enjoy the extended Small Score part of the podcast! Extended?!!? Thats correct. With a few generous RFGeneration members donating enough money to the site to reach our coveted featured on the collectorcast target, weve added their latest pickups to the podcast in great detail. So take the time to listen to their finds for the month and hopefully it encourages more people to donate in order to keep the site running smoothly!

Big shoutout to GameGavel for tweeting about the Collectorcast auction. That was awesome, guys.

^look at that time gap! This is why I love the show, haha.

God God, that's a lotta show to listen to and (possibly) comment on.

No wonder I haven't been keeping my "fave moments" commentaries up lately...

Great show, guys.  Man that was a lot of Small Scores!  Keep it up!  And just so you guys (don't) pronounce it properly in the future, "tomba" sounds like that kick-butt PSX game, and "bomba" rhymes with it.  I've got a find that completely tops the one you mentioned...

So how's the donation drive going? Are we there yet? lol

@engel762: We're at $440 out of our goal of $1000. So we're not there yet, maybe everyone is just waiting until the end. And we've still got the guest interview auction and a small lot of Atari games on GameGavel, so those will add at least $40 as I'm writing this.

@NES_Rules: I'll have to see if I can swing another donation on pay day, must... keep.. site... up!

Laughing as I'm listening to the food and gaming debate.  I don't mind people eating/drinking in my game room, but there are those few people who really don't appreciate the "value" of what you have and tend to be a little inconsiderate. I've had to tell people with greasy hands not to touch some of my things, mainly controllers. My games are so organized, that people are afraid to touch those anyway. Ha!

Case in point, I get really anxious when people put their beers on top of my pinball machines.  You always see it coming and I have had people spill beers on top of my machines.  I learned two things quickly, (1) spend the money and purchase drink holders for the sides of the machines, and (2) when ever I am restoring a machine, I always replace the "beer seal."  Yes, that is the actual name of the foam that goes between the glass and lockdown bar to keep spills out of the guts of the machine.
