It looks like the end of the season is over. I'm kind of happy that I can start sleeping in on the weekends and that I don't have to rearrange my game room to get stuff to fit each week, but of course I'm sad that I won't be getting many more games until Spring.
Regardless of how I feel however, this season is dead. It was a very nice weekend with temperatures close to 70 but we only went to 4 garage sales all weekend long. The flea market was about half the size it usually is and there wasn't much.
So here's my final finds for this season, this is last week as well as this week.

Saturday Garage Sales

There was a piece of paper with $20 and $15 crossed out on top of this with a final price of $5. It didn't have any cords so I couldn't plug it in to see if it would at least power on. So I knew it wouldn't work. Once I got home, my suspicion was correct, it wouldn't play any PS2 game, blue or silver bottoms. So I opened it up and adjusted the laser and got the blue discs to play and then James suggested I try cleaning it, so I did and it worked perfect after that.
It's up for sale if anyone needs one.

This is the only thing I bought last week, which is why there was no THC. The N64 games were in a box marked $0.50 each and I was going to offer $5 for the box, but then I spotted the GBC game on a table also marked $0.50 so I threw it in the box with the others and offered $5. The woman accepted, mentioning that her son wouldn't notice anyway.
The first picture is the "before" I cleaned them up, the second picture is after a good cleaning. Some are still pretty bad, but worthy of being in my collection at least.

Sunday Flea Market

After two weeks of flea marketing, this is all I've got to show for it. It's a game I've wanted though and it was $2 and CIB, so I'm happy with it.

Now, this season may be over, but this series isn't far from over. I've got a special surprise coming next week, and the Treasure Hunt Chronicles will return for the 2009 season. So stay tuned to channel 3.

BTW, the PS2 is a pre-V9 rendition, and it has a model number less than SCPH-50000 (it has a FireWire port). Not really important, but interesting to know.

How did you clean the stickers off the label of ready to rumble without ruining the picture underneath?

I am staying tuned to channel 3! Cheesy

Can't wait for the 2009 season.

@REFan:
If you notice, only part of the sticker is gone. The part I was able to get off wasn't stuck on very well, so it just came off. If I would have tried getting the rest off, it would have taken the label with it.
@Nik the Russian: I have no idea what you are talking about Tongue But it's a model 30001.

Getting 'broken' stuff that works is fun! Smiley

Excellent price on the N64 stuff.

After the year you had, I'd say be happy and thankfull you got even 1/10 of what you did this year.  The vast majority of us havent had that kind of luck this decade, let alone in just a span of 6 months.

The end of an era Sad.  Oh well, at least next year will bring more games Smiley
