I never have and never will. I hate the entire concept of renting anything. If I'm spending money on something I want it to be mine forever.

I save renting for movies I'll watch only once or twice.  Even then, rates have gone up a lot over the years, I can't believe they ask $2 for a one night rental.

2 bucks? Here it's like $5 for a movie and $7 for a game. Insanity I tells ya.

I've started not to rent games as much because I usually have little time to play anymore. I'll rent it and then the entire week-long rental periods goes by without me playing it, and then I have to bring it back. The last game I rented was God of War II and I ended up buying it the next day.

When living in the States, I rented a total of maybe 5 games in nearly 6 years...and haven't rented one since moving to Europe.  I never actually went to a video store with the aim of renting a game, they were more "on the spot" decisions if I came across something interesting.  I guess renting isn't a bad option, but there's enough game demos and game reviews out there to satisfy anyone's curiosity before purchasing a game IMO.

I stopped renting long ago as well.  I usually just wait for a price drop in a game.  I never usually get to playing a brand new game right away anyway (my backlog is too massive).

Heck yea, I would rent NES games like crazy.  We would go to Pharmor and rent 2 games after church on Sunday.  The awesome thing was if the manual wasn't with the game and we couldn't figure out how to play it they would let us rent another one for free.  So I picked every once in awhile because of back in the day.  Ahhhh, the memories.  I enjoyed those times.  I don't believe I ever rented Genesis or SNES games.  I did rent a few PS games and Sega CD games but that's it.
