a friend from work gave me this yesterday. a nice Apple IIe with disk drive and monochrome monitor. I hooked it up and tried it last night. It works just fine!

it is. it was pretty dirty but once I cleaned it up there were only a few scrathes here and there.

Neat, I got an Apple 2 C from a friend at work for free also.  The thing you don't really appreciate from the pictures is that those things are *HEAVY*

Welcome to the Apple family!  I personally love these things.  Hard to collect for though, as Apple software is hard to come by.  Get yourself a Super Serial Card and a serial link cable and you can make A2 disks from disk images that you can download off the web.
