It has been a long time in the making but I can finally announce the news that I have been teasing on the Collectorcast: The RetroWorld Expo will be held on October 3rd, 2015 at The Toyota Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, CTIt feels good to finally say that out loud. We made the announcement at the RetroWare TV panel at Magfest and now we are spreading the news to the rest of the world. Tickets will go on sale very soon.. I'm happy to announce RFGeneration.com as a primary sponsor of the RetroWorld Expo. The other 2 primary sponsors are RetroWareTV and Retro Games Plus. There will be more details in the coming weeks. For now, I invite you to please "like" our Facebook group, follow us on Twitter, and check out the (nearly finished) RetroWorld Expo web page. I'll give the RFGen crowd a heads up before tickets go on sale in case anyone wants to get in on the Early Bird special. Right now, Duke is planning on gracing the RetroWorld Expo, as well as my guest room, with his presence and we are very hopeful that Crabby can make the long trek across North America to join us for the second live recording of the RFGeneration Collectorcast.

OH SNAP STRAIGHT SHOT DOWN 91!?!?!?!? ~1 hour drive?!?!?! RFGen peeps?!?!
Marking my calender.
I expect AT LEAST all you east coasters to come out!
I may even try to make it out to this! Izret, can I crash at your place?
Unfortunately I can barely crash at my place. Super small apt
@Izret101:The wife "He's how tall? He wouldn't even fit on the couch!"
Only a 9 1/2 hour drive for me...
Well, I've made many a longer day trip for far less. 'course, that was before having kids.
Tempting.
Looking into flights. Will see what I can do.
Long trek from these parts, but I've never been to CT. Could be a great time.
This sounds like it would be a blast. Quite a haul from Kentucky, but I may be able to talk the lady into making a weekend trip of it and see a part of the country I've never been to.
might have to save the date, I just don't know if I would have the money to travel
really considering to make the big trip...maybe spending less on games, more saving for flight tickets the next months.
I'm pondering on trying to make the trip as well. I have never been to CT either.
3 1/2 hours for me, I may have to make the trip!
Can't wait guys. Since I work at Retro Games Plus, Kris said he will be closing all 3 of the stores that day so all the employees can help run the event. I even offered up my Mario Car to be on display inside if they allow it. Should be a blast.
Google says it would take me 963 hours and 2939 miles to walk there. And although that seems reasonable, it's the walking back that would get me.
but going home is always faster. Although you might have to carry all the goodies you get at the Expo and that would weight you down
@russlyman: I disagree. The trip home ALWAYS seems to take longer. The trip there would go faster. You're excited to show up! You want to see things, meet people, wander around! The trip home is a drag. Ugh, back to work and I have to carry this suitcase of sweet, sweet stuff, but then I have to unload it all...
Well who knows maybe they will have a Tardis on display at the show and you can hope a ride home with the Doctor

Like many of the people who visit this site, I am a lifelong gamer who loves and appreciates classic gaming as well as the current generation. When I started collecting games, I realized that some of the stories of my collecting might be interesting, educational, or just plain funny. The stories that I share here are meant to entertain as well as inform and they are all 100% true, which is why I include pictures.
