Hey everyone! Going to keep this short but sweet.  Today I decided I wanted to buy some more games especially NES games in their boxes! My brother and I decided we really need the Mega Man's complete in box on NES to complete our Capcom NES collection. ALSO if anyone has an extra Mega Man 5 manual I would be willing to buy or trade for it, and I need a Complete Mega Man 1 & 6, so if anyone could help out that would be great. But today I went to what I am going to call my NES heaven store and purchased Gun.Smoke CIB, T&C Surf Designs CIB.  Then I went to it's sister store and purchased Mega Man 2, 3, & 5 CIB.  Then I went to CD Tradepost and purchased Mario Is Missing on NES Cart only, and Diablo in minty condition for PS1. My brother purchased a couple of Super Famicom games on eBay Monopoly and Sim City CIB.  Today I purchased on eBay for $40.00 Mega Man 4 CIB.  So anyways hope you all enjoyed this blog!!!

Here are the pictures and please comment!

Hello Fellow Gamers!  My brother and I did a little more shopping today at a couple of our favorite stores.  IF you haven't read the previous blogs please do so!  We bought probably our last bulk lot of NES games for a while.   Most of these titles are hard to come buy especially complete in the box such as DIE HARD & Metal Storm!  We have spent quite a bit of money accomplishing something we are excited to have a good quality and quantity of NES games in their boxes.  Sorry none of these are for trade or for sale.  We might be getting rid of some loose games and maybe some games we have duplicates in their boxes.  But anyways we went to a Comic store which sells a ton of video games and then we went to Goodwill's GoodBytes.  We also went to Nebraska Furniture Mart so I could buy a bundle PS Vista!  Now my brother and I both have one!  And I also purchased a couple of games Army Corps From Hell & Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus.   My brother purchased the system and a couple of games on the day it came out he bought the same bundle pack and the games he purchased were Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 & of course Uncharted: Golden Abyss.  This month has been great and this lot of games is a good way to end the month.  Especially with the boxed NES Games Die Hard, Mighty Final Fight, Metal Storm, Barbie (yes I said Barbie), Pac-Mania and a few others.  Another side note my brother bought Star Wars on NES complete in box in an earlier blog from eBay and today he surprised me with the sequel Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back on NES complete in box! Also purchased from eBay.  So hope you all enjoyed and here are the pictures please comment!

Hello again fellow gamers.  Today we got some more goodies in the mail and I went on yet another shopping spree for mostly unliscensed NES games.  My total purchase at the store was sadly $262.00 ick but it was worth it!  I am just waiting on one more package in the mail my complete copy of Deja Vu.  Today I also got two liscenesd NES games Robocop 3 and Romance of the Three Kingdoms both complete in their boxes.  My brothers eBay mail order today arrived all complete in box DuckTales 1, Chip and Dale 1 and Fester's Quest.  Today I recieved another personal grail Jetson's on NES.  So again I do believe this is the year of the Nintendo for our collection.  Today my brother also purchased Sin & Punishment on the Wii brand new at K-Mart for a meer $13.00!  While Game Stop still sells new for $40.00 and we needed the game because we have the Japanese N64 game Sin & Punishment complete in box in minty condition we purcahsed a long time ago.  My brother also recieved in the mail today pretty much brand new Star Trek Judgement Rites Limited Collector's Edition, the VHS is still brand new and the game is limited number to 75,000.  This game is in pristine condition!  So here are the pictures please comment!!

Love NINTENDO! Especially NES!

Hello fellow gamers!  My brother and I have done a ton of shopping the last few days and it invovles mostly NES games in their boxes! And above all else a holy grail was achieved with the purchase of Earthbound! with the Strategy Guide.  Another achivement is getting Bomberman II complete in box in Minty condition!  The last couple of days we started off with eBay purcahses.  My brother bought Earthbound, and I bought Final Fantasy NES complete in box with everything, yes that includes the map.  I also bought ISS 2000 for N64 complete in box in good condition!  Most of our purchases were at a local store and they are all NES games complete in boxes, game boy games complete in boxes, and a couple of SNES games complete in boxes.  We have decided to call this year in our collection the Year of Nintendo.  Some of the games we purchased are even BRAND NEW!!!  Most everything is in pristine to mint condition, some of the eBay NES Games we bought in their boxes fair to near-mint to so so condition.  We also went to Gamers and purchased Starcraft 64 for a great price even though it's just the cart, anyone have a box or manual for sale? ;-)  We also went to a local store called Game Vault and purchased Fire Embelm for GBA complete in box in minty condition along with the strategy guide.  Some of the best finds were Toxic Crusaders complete in box, Star Wars (on eBay) complete in box, Act Raiser 2 complete in box, Romance Three Kingdoms II complete in box, GI Joe complete in box, among others!!!  This has truly been a great find these past couple of days, and thought we'd mention it on Finder's Keepers because this is a haul of a life time for us and well we think among others as well.  SO here are the pictures of everythying from all the stores, PLEASE feel free to comment.

Hello FELLOW GAMERS!  This is a personal gamers debate log!  First off I'd like to say RF GENERATION is the best collecting website out there!  I have been on a few sites while I think NintendoAge and SegaAGE are separate from RF Generation in the sense of total collecting.  While RF Generation gears towards all systems and games which gives it my 10 out of 10 rating, NA and SA gear toward only just that Nintendo and Sega.  The forums are pretty good on those sites and the administrators are pretty cool as well. BUT this site is the best because they have everything! Yes that includes great Admin's.  If it wasn't for this site I wouldn't be able to track my brother's and mines collection!!! We do use Collectorz because its a good site to hold all information and prices for our games and so much more, again not tied into this topic because it's a home based product, I don't use there Collectorz Connect for one it costs money.  SO let's move onto that RF is free to users to catalog their games!! This site helps collectors know what they have, whether it'd be games complete in their boxes, just have the carts, or heck just have the manuals.  The only thing that needs added (see other blogs for this) is strategy guides, but my brother and I are working on that site and hope to work with RF Generation.  I recommend this site to every collector I know because it's a good database to store their game collection!

SO for those gamers out there that meet new collectors! Pass RF Generation on to them! The more collector's the better the community! So Live On CHANNEL 3!

When you were young did your parents ever just throw away your video game systems and game boxes??  The proverbial saying "Yeah, my mom threw out my baseball cards when I moved out of the house."  Well that saying just doesn't go with baseball cards but VIDEO GAME STUFF AS WELL!!!  My parents had collected Atari before I was even born they threw away all of their boxes but a half of one that they used to hold the manuals in Frogger.  My parents also gave away a lot of stuff too like the Timex Computer which was used to play video games kind of like a dinosaur of handheld video games.  As late as the year 2002 my parents threw away video game boxes particularly my Mother! who deemed that since they were just cardboard they were worth NOTHING!  Well MOM your WRONG! Haha Video games are worth way more complete and above all else its just sentimental to say wow! I have a complete in box EARTHBOUND in mint condition like new!  (Sadly I don't at this time)
Parents from the Atari age just don't understand that video games are of value especially games from there era!!! Sorry for some of you that are on here and are Atari area (but I was born in 1983 so I am still part of that era).  My father worked for a place called Lionel Playworld (I so wish he still did, I really need a time machine to stop myself as a kid and my parents).   I bet everyone that had parents like mine wishes they had a time machine to go back and give yourself at a young age and your parents a smack in the back of the head!  I know some collector's out there they parents did keep everything! But for us collectors who didn't we are picking the slack up now finding anything we can in the box (except for the occasional collector who doesn't care about the boxes-SHAME ON YOU!).

But ANY THOUGHTS?? Let's talk and just relieve the horrible memories and relax and then think about how things have gotten better since!

ALSO SHAME ON PARENTS THAT THROW AWAY STUFF STILL TODAY!!!

My brother and I did some more shopping recently at HPB and NFM.  I purchased the Collector's Edition of Lord of the Rings War of the North for PS3 for $40.00 and my brother picked up quite a few PC games that range from $2.99 to $9.99 (which were all the the Advanced D&D games) from HPB and he also bought the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.  I hope you all enjoy the pictures.  Please comment.

Hello Fellow NA members!  I finally achieved in getting one of my "Holy Grails."  For a meer $0.00!!! Yes you read that right! I got a complete in box MINT/NM condition Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers 2!  Yes I will be posting pictures but after I tell the story.

Yesterday I went to a local store here in the Omaha area.  My gf has never been there before so I said what the hey since you live down by there I'll take you.  Well we got there we looked around for a while and did my usual pattern go to the games!  Well I saw a few Boxed NES titles just sitting there so I picked them up as well they are minty and complete too!  (titles are - Mickey Mousecapade with the Oval Seal (I have just the cart of Round Seal) and Little Nemo (I have one complete in box now and one cartridge).  I picked Little Nemo up for $8.00 and Mickey for $5.00.  So little to nothing for complete NES Games.  But the employee was like "did you see what was in the cabinet?" I was like no but I was here yesterday and didn't see anything.  He's like well I just got those you are buying and this in today I was like what - and TOO MY SUPRISE! it was Rescue Rangers 2 - he took it out of the case and he knew the story behind it and well let's just say I made a new friend.  He put it on hold for me I was going to pick it up Thursday but I decided I couldn't wait so I went in this morning and GOT it.  Well now your probably wondering what the $0.00 means well I traded in a bunch (and I mean a bunch of DVD's and CD's) I got store credit the game was priced at $93.99 but I know the manager pretty well and he decided well I think this price is steep so he changed it to $73.99!!! WTH!! Love this guy haha.  Well with my store credit I had plenty for that and some more SO I picked up copies of Bonkers & Adventures of Batman and Robin on Sega Genesis - Batman for $6.99 and Bonkers for $4.99 and well I only spent $5.00 total! So basically I paid for Bonkers only!!!! So no drooling everyone!!! This is my best find yet!!!! Next up hopefully a box for my MINTY Ducktales 2 and Stadium Events!!!

Hope you all enjoyed! Please comment on this historic day!!!

Hey everyone! While the website was down my brother and I did a little shopping.  We went to a comic book store in Omaha and purchased a lot full of Atari 600XL stuff.  We got the System complete in box, we got a ton of games! Some in their boxes and some just cartridges.  The most pricey game we got is Star Wars Return of the Jedi: Death Star Battle loose is book valued at $17.  This is a pretty cool system it is part of the Atari 8-Bit family and the XL series ceased operation in 1992! Can you believe that?!? Only because Atari was working on the system that brought them down - The Atari Jaguar.  Hope you all enjoy the pictures and please comment.

Hey fellow gamers!  Another Game Hunt Blog!  This weekend (the super busy weekend before Christmas) is as good as any other hunt we have ever had.  We had only planned to go to a new store that we found on Craigslist but decided to hit a couple of normal shops and well we hit a mini jackpot!!!!  Our first stop was Game Vault and we found a mother load of NES Games In there Boxes Complete:

*3D Worldrunner ($9.95) - Complete IN BOX (Minty Condition as all the games are in this lot of NES games) with The original 3-D Glasses!!
*Athena ($9.95) - Complete IN BOX

Then we went to our only Flea Market an Indoor one that occasionally has some stuff and we bought Civilization II - MULTIPLAYER (YES I SAID THAT RIGHT) Gold Edition.  Comes with Civilization II and bonus games.  Price - $3.00. Best thing its BRAND NEW NEVER OPENED!

Then we were off to Good Bytes which from my previous blogs if you didn't read them is a branch off from Goodwill were they sell all electronic goodies.  We Got all complete PC games in boxes list and prices as follows all are in great condition and like I said complete.
*Aces of the Pacific - (MS-DOS Version) - $2.99
*Stonekeep - $2.99 - Comes with the Prima Games Strategy Guide
*Waterworld - $2.99
*Wing Commander Prophecy - $2.99 sells for $60.00 on eBay.

Then we were off to the new store (after a stop at Canfield's).  The store is called Dollar Days but has a video game store up front. Good selection of games.  We bought a few good ones.
*Bonk's Revenge - GAME BOY game Cart Only - $6.00
*Mega Man II - GAME BOY game Cart Only - $6.00
*Metroid II - GAME BOY game cart only - $7.00
*C: The Contra Adventure - Playstation1 Game Complete in Box - $12.00 (seen it one other time only when I lived in Florida at a store called R U Game? they were selling it for $30.00 ours is in better condition that one).

So there is our Pre-Christmas Goodies that we purchased lots and lots of goodies! (Sorry None for sale....don't be a scrooge that you can't have it, but I am going to be a scrooge and say not for sale because these games are as good as gold to me and my brother!)

Hello Fellow Gamers!  This is the second edition with updated photos of my brothers and mine collector's editions.  We have of course acquired quite a few more since our last post.  My brother and I have a huge interest in collecting collector or limited editions of all sorts of games.   Most of our collector and limited editions REMAINED SEALED!!  I know some of you are probably asking why buy them and not open them?? Well as a hardcore collector we collect anything and everything video game related with all video game collector's ultimate goals to own EVERYTHING! but that will never happen of course because there is so much out there and you need unlimited money to get it (I wish life had a Game Genie).  We are just very into collecting these games because who knows at some point they could be valuable and we will be like WOW we have that. FOR EXAMPLE - we have the Fallout 3 Amazon Survival Edition it is out of print and one sold on eBay a while back for nearly $1,000.  And guess what ours is SEALED!  Some of my favorite collector's editions are Uncharted 3 (see other blog for that), Skyrim, Ace Combat 6, Fallout 3 - Lunchbox Edition, Records of Agrest War The first Release - The Naughty Edition, Halo Reach Legendary (SEALED) and the Hardened Edition (that one is opened for pleasure).

Collecting collector or limited editions is kind of a hobby on it's own.  Where did it begin well I think they started back with Sega Genesis (who knows maybe further).  On the Genesis the only game I have pictured and have three of but just the best one is pictured is John Madden Football Championship Edition.  Then more modern you go to N64 with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Collector's Edition which in traditional Nintendo from the NES Days is a Gold cart while the original release is a gray cart, which is the opposite of the NES.  Special editions are a great addition to anyone's collection.  I know some just don't care about collector's editions and some just collect games out of the box (traditionally for older games) too each is own.   Special editions yes for one cost more but they just look so much better in your collection and two they just plain ROCK!

So I have about 18 Picture!!!! Warning these can cause heart attacks, seizures and severe fainting!
