Like last week, this weekend was another one for the record books. I didn't get a whole lot of games, but a lot of hardware instead. Including another system I never thought I'd actually find.
The day started off really, really bad. The first 5-10 houses were a walk up to the garage, see piles of baby/kid's clothes/toys and walk away. Neither my dad nor I found anything worth even looking at. Luckily, things got better for us both.
My first find of the day was a stack of PS2 games, there wasn't much I really wanted, but the prices were good, they were marked between $0.50-1.50, I didn't feel like adding it up and I don't think the woman selling them did either so I offered $10, there was about $14 worth as marked.

A few sales later I found a table with various games/accesories. It was mostly all loose stuff. Some things were priced individually, but there was a sign reading "all games $1 each". I offered $5 for everything, but was willing to pay up to $10. Because she told us everything had to go and she was making deals. She quickly said no because her kids "need Taco Bell money" WTF? Is Taco Bell food some kind of addiction now? She then added everything up, whether it was loose or complete everything was $1 each, plus a few Genesis games for $0.25-0.50 each. She came to a total of $23 and said I could have it all for the amazingly low price of $20. I walked away. I probably should have bought the Genesis games and a NES Four Score, but I hate when people say they want to make deals when they really don't. Sad part is that she probably won't sell it all and it will end up in the trash.
My next find was 6 Xbox games for $5 (marked $1 each), but all I had left were $20's and 3 $1's and the woman didn't have any change, so while she was looking for change, a kid comes out of the house and looks at one of the games (it was a Need For Speed game), I told him I just bought them. He goes on saying that he didn't know that game was there and looked very distraught at the idea of his favorite game being taken away. After I got my change, he asked if I would let him keep it. I thought about saying "hell no, I bought it, it's mine get the fuck out of here stupid" but I remembered my name isn't ganonbanned and that I've got most of the NFS games already, so I let him keep it.

Bionicle (CIB) I now have it on all three systems, but haven't played it yet.
That's just 5 more reasons I need an Xbox now.
The next deal was a box of random stuff from a garage sale, the box was marked $5, I skimmed through it and noticed some N64 game boxes, N64 system, hookups and controllers. So I paid the $5 and walked away.

At an otherwise small yard sale, I found this laying in the grass:

I asked how much it was and the woman said $5. The system is in terrible shape: broken plastic and lots of stuff rolling around inside plus dirty and discolored, but the game in it was good, so I offered $1 for the game. She said I could just have it all for $1. It had a power supply jammed into it but it wasn't the correct one and amazingly the tip in the system didn't get busted off.
Across the street from that sale, I found this:

Another dirty, discolored SNES with chunks missing from it, although this one isn't nearly as bad as the other one. It might actually work.
I was more concerned with the 5 NES controllers, TG-16 controller, and NES Advantage.
There is also a Genesis power supply, many composite cords, an extension cord, various cell phone chargers and not pictured are many Coax cables, a doorbell and I think a CO detector and some other random electronics.
When I asked how much it all was he wanted to know what I wanted from the box, so I explained to him that it depended on how much it was. He said I could have the whole box for $20, I offered $5, he said yes, but he took out some kind of air pump from the box, which was fine with me.
A little later we went to a somewhat large neighborhood sale which I didn't find much of anything until the very last house. It was more of a driveway sale than a garage sale as there wasn't anything in the garage but some paint cans and something setting on top of them. At first I dismissed it as a DVD player and didn't think much of it, but them I looked a little closer and nearly shit my pants. It was a 3DO!!!! I ran (well, walked briskly) into the garage, grabbed it and brought it outside and asked if it was for sale. The guy did a "well, I don't know, I guess, well maybe not, I don't know where the controllers or games are". He ended up saying I could have the console and hookups for $5 (which is exactly what I was going to offer him) and he asked if I wanted to wait 5 minutes while he went to look for the controllers and games, I sure as hell will wait. Almost exactly 5 minutes later he returned with another power supply and a lone controller. Since the system already had the power cord, he realized the one he brought was the wrong one. I gave him my name and phone number in case he found the games, but I won't hold my breath for them. Once I got home and plugged it in, I opened the tray and found Theme Park inside.

Now all I need is a Sega Master System and I'll be content as far as classic systems go.
Another very awesome find that day was this:

A complete Sega 32X. The box has some serious shelf wear, especially on the back, but everything inside looks almost new. For some reason, there's 4 of the papers that tell you how to hook it up. I couldn't find a price sticker on it at first and was going to offer $1, but then I found a price sticker, it was marked $1. So that's what I paid.
From two different sales, I got these.

The Crash plush was $0.25, marked $0.50. The people running the sale asked if it was for a little one (I assume they meant a child) and when I said told them no, they assumed it was for a dog toy. I guess grown men just aren't supposed to play with dollies.
The Nintendo shelf was $2. It was marked down to $2 from $5, so I offered $1 to what I thought was an old woman (turned out to be a boy with long hair (I couldn't see his face because he was turned away from me when I asked)). He said "how about $2?" I reluctantly agreed but I took some paper targets that were setting on it. Anyone know anything about this. I assume it's actually made for an NES because it fits in it so well and it's not just some shelf with a Nintendo sticker slapped onto it.
We had to quit saling a little early due to a family reunion in the afternoon, but on the way home we saw a sign for a sale that wasn't in the paper. It was on a questionable side of the city so I didn't really want to stop, but my dad convinced me to stop. It turned out to be on an decent street anyway. My dad found a squirt gun and pulled the trigger not thinking it was loaded, and almost shot the woman running the sale. He attempted to shoot me, but my cat-like reflexes prevented it. Anyway, I found this stuff in a box under the table:

NES system with power supply
Zapper
Game Genie with booklet
Cleaning Kit (1 loose, 1 CIB)
3 controllers
River City Ransom with manual
All-Pro Basketball
Mike Tyson's Punch-out
Astyanax
Friday the 13th
Bad Dudes
Batman with manual
Rygar
Double Dragon II
Dig Dug II
Hoops with manual
Bayou Billy manual
magic of Scheherazade manual and map
SMB2 manual
Various posters and registration cards
It was marked $10, so I offered $5, we settled on $7.
Also, I got a GameCube memory card for $0.25 somewhere along the line, I had forgotten all about until I found it in pocket while writing this up. It was laying on a table with no price sticker and I notice there was a 15ish kid, some middle age adults, and an old woman running the sale, so I went up to the old woman showed her the memory card and offered $0.25, I know if I had asked the kid I would have had to pay a lot more.
In non gaming finds, I picked up a book called "Riders on the Storm" by John Densmore (it's even signed by him). This should keep me occupied at work for a week or so. Paid a whopping $0.25 for it.
I also got one of these:
http://shop.tramondi.de/h...?TY=item&ST=1&IT=391&CT=6 Only mine doesn't have the same label, the label on mine is part of the glass.
I saw it on the table and asked how much it was out of curiosity and the woman said $1, I said OK and looked at other stuff, when I came back she said I could have it for $0.50, we talked a little bit about how impractical such a large mug would be and I finally said I'd give her $0.25 for it, she agreed.
So I guess there wasn't any one thing that was super spectacular (although I'm definitely most excited for the 3DO) like last week, but a lot of good lots for very cheap.
