Treasure Hunt Chronicles: Treasure Hunt Chronicles '09 - #19

Another slow week for me. I didn't get to do much saling on Saturday because my uncle was having a huge cookout so I had to go over and help set up around 10:30 in the morning, so I only got a couple hours of saling in. On Sunday I had to help my mom setup for a "Slovak Fest" and then help clean up from the party before going to the flea market, so I didn't get there until after 11, and there was a huge crowd with very few good deals left.
However, I did get a couple good things, so make sure to read on to see what they are.

This was my first time ever buying something game related from the Thursday flea market. This guy had a ton of 80's memorabilia; toys, board games, lunch boxes, and just about everything else. I picked out these video game inspired board games and the Pac-Man card game. They seem to all be complete and the Pac-Man game is sealed. He was asking $5 a piece for the games, so I offered $10 for all three, he countered with $12 and I accepted.

This was my only find at the flea market. It was from a regular seller that I don't usually look at his games because he obviously bases his prices on eBay. I saw the Dreamcast box on the table and almost didn't bother asking how much it was because I figured it would be high. But out of curiosity, I asked anyway. He said it was $30 and I asked if he would take any lower for it, he said he would take $28. I offered him $25, which he accepted.
I was thinking these were more valuable than they are. Anyone know if the prices dropped (I was thinking a CIB one went for around $100, but it looks like they go for around $50) or was I just wrong in that assumption.

These were from three different sales on different days, but I put them in the same picture because none are all that great on their own. The Mad Maestro game was from the Thursday flea market and was marked $2, I got it for $1, it's CIB. The NHL 2001 is also complete and was my only find from garage saling on Saturday, it was $0.25. The TV/Computer Game Switch was marked $1, I paid $0.50 for it. It's brand new and sealed, but I unfortunately dropped it when I brought it home and cracked the plastic across the bottom so it looks like it was opened now.

Another slow week, so this will probably be another close one. I have my favorite deal, but what do YOU think was the best one of the week?

As of this posting, I have 2,272 total games, 1,869 unique games, and 403 duplicates. Which means I have 5 more total games, 4 more unique games, and 1 more duplicates since the last Treasure Hunt Chronicles installment.

So far, I've spent $666.46 this year ($38.75 this week) on gaming related stuff, and I spent $0.00 this week to ship stuff for trades and I brought in $0.00 from selling stuff, so I am down $242.06 this year. The total spent (amount spent on games plus amount spent on shipping for trades) this year, is $749.11

To sum up this year's stats, I have 350 more total games, 391 more unique games, and 41 less duplicates. And I have a "loss" of $242.06 for the year.

I went for the Dreamcast, but I would kill to have some video game board games in my collection.

I went with the board games, I remember seeing at Byte Back this guy had on display (and for sale) DVDs of video game related commercials he collected from the 80s and 90s from VHS films and TV, and one of them was the Pac Man Board game. Since then I keep thinking I played that when a long time ago.

Yea i was unaware the DC had dropped so low in price.
Last time i was looking into buying one they were around 50-75 loose.

The board games are cool, but it's just too cool coming across boxed Dreamcast machines in the wild.
