This week wasn't spectacular in that I didn't have any really big finds, but instead, I had a lot of little finds, each one a great find in their own right. For once, my first treasure of the week didn't come from Friday, but on Thursday for a change. But I didn't get much garage saling in on Friday or Saturday and then I didn't go to the flea market on Sunday at all. The majority of my finds all come very early on Saturday this week.

Now, I mentioned crazy sellers before, so this is a little story of something I didn't buy. In the corner of a couple tables, there was a box on the ground and I could see it was a racing wheel box, I assumed it would be another PSX, N64, or PC wheel, but much to my surprise, it was for the Saturn, and it wasn't a 3rd party one either. I looked all over the box for a sticker, but couldn't find one, so I finally asked someone at the sale and a little old lady came over to look at it and kept asking me what it was, once she understood it was for video games, she asked a man (her son probably) if he knew how much it was, he didn't, so they asked me what I would pay for it, I said $1. The guy seemed to think that was a fair offer, but his daughter (maybe 12 or so) laughed at the offer. So he called his son to see what he wanted for it. The guy talked/yelled on the phone a good 15 minutes trying to tell the kid what it was (he practically read everything on the box before the kid knew what he was talking about). Meanwhile, grandma is trying to sell me everything else at the sale, from exercise equipment to knick-knacks. As the guy is finishing up the conversation on the phone, I look at the box again and realize there was a tiny little price sticker on it, $5 it said. So I point it out to the woman and hand her a $5, but she has the guy ask the kid if that is really what he wants for it. After another 5 minute conversation, they came to a conclusion that grandma put it out for sale by mistake and that it wasn't supposed to be for sale. So I was walking out empty handed and noticed a Dreamcast and some games in a CD binder, the games were marked $5 and the system $25, I have no idea why the old woman didn't point those out to me, since she did everything else. I thought about looking through the discs to see if there was anything good, but I figured they really weren't for sale either, so I just left the binder on the table and walked away.

Best Deal of the Week?

Getting poll results. Please wait...

I think there will be a strong winner again this week, but as always, the results may be a surprise, so which deal do YOU think was the best one of the week?

As of this posting, I have 2,267 total games, 1,865 unique games, and 402 duplicates. Which means I have 11more total games, 10 more unique games, and 1 more duplicates since the last Treasure Hunt Chronicles installment.

So far, I've spent $627.71 this year ($21.10 this week) on gaming related stuff, and I spent $0.00 this week to ship stuff for trades and I brought in $0.00 from selling stuff, so I am down $203.31 this year. The total spent (amount spent on games plus amount spent on shipping for trades) this year, is $710.36

To sum up this year's stats, I have 345 more total games, 387 more unique games, and 42 less duplicates. And I have a "loss" of $182.21 for the year.

I said the yoshi happy meal toy. Why? why not.
Nice finds as always.

I would have kicked the old ladys ass, after all that and then getting told nope is not for sale, but Ive been looking for a saturn arcade wheel 2.

@cant-grow-up: I probably could have made a big enough fuss to get it, but in the back of my mind I don't really need another wheel taking up space.

Nice pick up on the 2 360 games and controller

The 360 controller was the best deal, but the Team Play Football brought back fond memories of childhood. I voted for that one.

I went with the game boy games. I can never find them, and when in Gamestop, they always have every Pokemon game used for usually like 30 bucks, so finding one for 33 cents is enough to earn my vote.

Fairly decent finds.  I dig the handhelds; there is something primitive yet wonderful about finding stuff like that in the wild.

Strange, I've never had those problems at all. Then again if I did I would be a little creeped out, went for the Xbox 360 games with the controller, they were cheap.

No huge finds, but I would be more than happy with than many little finds all in one weekend, especially at the prices you can get things. Wink

I voted for the Xbox 360 controller + games because those are still in regular shops and usually go higher (but I could be wrong?)

And lol @ the crazy women...it sounds like some people don't even realize they're having a garage sale.
