This week was full of garage sales. On Friday we went to around 6 neighborhood/street sales in addition to a ton of regular garage sales. It took until 2:00 before we ran out of sales to go to in the area. Saturday was very much the same thing, but it started to rain about 1:00 and we didn't bring umbrellas with us, so we called it quits a little early. Despite the fantastic amount of sales, I didn't find much. It was better than the last couple weeks, but it still wasn't a great weekend.

Before I get into what gaming related stuff I bought, I thought I would  describe a great deal I got that isn't gaming related at all. That deal was a new bike I got. I've been looking for a good road bike for sometime now, and finally found a nice Schwinn at a sale this weekend for $20. It looks nearly new and has a really cushy, wide seat on it which is always great for those long rides. Plus, it has narrower tires than my last bike, but they're wider than something like a racing bike which is exactly what I wanted and the way it's positioned you sit more straight up than bent over so I don't have to worry about my back hurting the next day after a long ride and it has a fold up saddle bag type thing on the back so I can put stuff in it if I need to. Now, I just need to find the time to ride it and I'll be set.
Now, onto the gaming related treasures.

Best Deal of the Week?

Getting poll results. Please wait...

I think this is going to be another close one between two deals, but maybe not, maybe one is a lot better than I'm thinking. Which deal do YOU think was the best one of the week?

As of this posting, I have 2,183 total games, 1,807 unique games, and 376 duplicates. Which means I have 12 more total games, 7 more unique games, and 5 more duplicates since the last Treasure Hunt Chronicle.

So far, I've spent $508.61 this year ($17.00 this week) on gaming related stuff, and I spent $0.00 this week to ship stuff for trades and I brought in $6.24 from selling stuff, so I am down $84.21 this year. The total spent (amount spent on games plus amount spent on shipping for trades) this year, is $591.26

To sum up this year's stats, I have 261 more total games, 329more unique games, and 68 less duplicates. And I have a "loss" of $84.21 for the year.

Nice finds, especially the SNES games.

The PSX gun's name is funny.

Nice finds.

'The Heater.' Ha ha. Great find on the SNES games.

SMA/SMW - never knew this game existed.  Great find for $1

The HEATER! Tongue

I voted for the SNES games though.

Heater FTW

Actually, thinking about it. How many names for the light gun can you remember off the top of your head. Since for me, all I can remember is:

Justifier
Zapper
Phaser
GunCon
SuperScope (even if it's a bazooka)
Menacer (again, like a Bazooka)

Very jealous of your SNES bundle find. I would soooo love to have that super mario world/ all stars cart. but getting one for 16.66 cents...I am very jealous. Not to mention how awesome that price is for the FFII and the Super mario world. Great finds!

I'm pretty surprised by the results of the poll so far. I figured the SNES bundle would win, but not by that much. I guess the PSX games weren't as good of games as I thought. I thought I should also mention something about the SNES games that I forgot about when I did the main entry. While I was buying them, the woman said she had more of them, like a box full of them. She looked around (her spot wasn't set up very well, stuff was just thrown on the ground randomly, she is probably a one time seller) for them, but couldn't find them so she asked her son if he knew where they were and he said they didn't bring any other games, they must have left the other ones at home. I think that's the most crushing thing I've ever heard from a flea market vendor.
I'm just praying she is there next week with them and I'm there early enough to snag them.

Those SNES games are definately the best find.
