This week almost turned out to be a complete bust. There were a total of maybe 40 garage sales listed for Friday, only about half of those being close enough for us to go to. I didn't buy a single thing that day, I didn't even see much that looked interesting. Saturday was pretty much the same, we went to another 20 or so sales and I only found one thing during the day. Sunday's flea market was also slow. My current trading partner wasn't there, but the guy I used to trade with was, but he didn't have any games. I did manage to find one game at the flea market. I was severely disappointed with the results but kind of relieved because it will make moving the game room that much easier. However, on our way to another flea market (we used to go to it every week, but it's been getting smaller and smaller every year and is out of the way for us) and a garage sale in the area that was to start on Sunday,  we passed another garage sale and that sale had the treasure that saved the weekend for me.

Best Deal of the Week?

Getting poll results. Please wait...

I'm thinking this poll will be another landslide, but maybe not. What do you think was the best deal of the week?

As of this posting, I have 2,171 total games, 1,800 unique games, and 371 duplicates. Which means I have 29 more total games, 14 more unique games, and 15 more duplicates since the last Treasure Hunt Chronicle.

So far, I've spent $491.61 this year ($27.00 this week) on gaming related stuff, and I spent $0.00 this week to ship stuff for trades and I brought in $13.10 from selling stuff, so I am down $73.45 this year. The total spent (amount spent on games plus amount spent on shipping for trades) this year, is $574.26
Last week I had reported I was ahead by about $50, but that was a calculation error, I was really still down about $50.

To sum up this year's stats, I have 249 more total games, 322 more unique games, and 73 less duplicates. And I have a "loss" of $59.50 for the year.

Nice grab on the coleco/atari lot.

Nice coleco lot!

You can still get good finds, that's for sure Smiley

Not even close on the poll. ColecoVision. Even finding another guitar for that cheap isn't bad, but it has to be the Coleco.

What's on that atari joystick?

@WompaStompa11: I was wondering if anyone would notice that. It's a ball of masking tape. I take it the previous owner wanted it to be more like an arcade stick.

Gotta go with the Coleco/Atari lot too!!  Yeah that "box" thing is a mystery to lots of folks.  When ever I find a box that the game has been stolen from in one of the thrifts I always ask if I can buy it, hoping they say just take it, which of course the do.  But I get some strange looks.  Of course this is from the same people who write the price with permanent marker on some boxes or tape boxes closed with strapping tape.  Now that's a crime Sad

Definitely jealous of that last lot for $20. I would love to add something really old school to my collection! Nothing new for me this weekend though.

Great find on the Coleco & Atari score!! People throw away boxes all the time here at my apartment complex. My wife found 6 or 7 Gameboy Advance boxes, a 32x hardware and few N64 game boxes. I see Wii/360/Guitar Hero boxes all the time here, but by the time I notice them, they're either crushed or soaked. =(

I have an unspoken Rival goin on with you....to stay above you in at least software only.  Ive never added my hardware yet....Maybe one day
